I had a 2 year old pair of Merrill hiking shoes that were fine that I bought from a local store. A few weeks ago I was using them and realized that they were both slippery on certain damp surfaces and had a narrow (felt unstable) footprint. My husband has loved his Salomon boots so I decided to order some although i am not a big fan of ordering shoes online. I am so glad I did. These shoes with a wider sole and the traction design feel so much safer. We went hiking last weekend in damp conditions and the traction was so much better than with my other shoes when I did the same thing a few weeks ago which is why I shopped for new ones. So happy I took the chance with online ordering. True to size and I put a full size arch support in them. I use them now for damp conditions just walking my dog!

Fantastic hiker, this particular style Salomon runs largish & wider across the front toe area. Bought my regular size 9M & have worn it almost every day since I got them about 2 weeks ago. Plenty of room for my SuperFeet insoles. Love the dark ish blue color, definitely a keeper. Even my neighbor bought a pair!

Excellent all-purpose shoe which is comfortable, stable, looks great and true to size. Having Gore-Tex is a plus. My wife loves it!

I'm new to this brand. Gave them a go based on LL Bean description and a review here specifically referencing Scotland (my trip planned for May 2024). First wearing was in September- in British Columbia, the weather was variable. Feet stayed dry, excellent traction on the trails. Light weight and nice support under the arch. Wore different styles of socks, no pinching in the toe box or chafing at the heel. In other news, they look good with joggers on a city street.

Didn't expect to like these waterproof sneakers as much as I do. More flexible than a low hiker, they stood out while taking wet leaves. Fit was great and didn't require break-in time. Decent tread is also good for trail walking.

Bought these shoes for an Alaskan trip and the waterproofing held up so well that I also wear them to my son's rainy soccer games.

I wore for 10 days through Scotland. They definitely kept my feet dry. Super cushy and excellent support.

My dog loves going for small hikes and walks in the woods daily. These are great trail sneakers. I got my true size and they fit really well. When it rained my feet/socks stayed nice and dry too!

It became my go-to hiking/camping/walking shoes. I had trouble finding a comfortable and relatively lightweight hiking shoe that also looks nice until I tried this one.

Great fit and just the right amount of sturdiness to be comfortable on the trail. The sole is good on slippery surfaces

Very comfortable right out of the box! Comfortable toe box even on my foot with a slight bunion.

I bought these shoes a little over a month ago... no breaking in necessary... great fit.... i own 4 different brands and by far this shoe is the most comfortable i've put the others away!!!... keep the colors i don't know why companies think they need to change colors... wish there was an all black... go hiking every weekend been through mud dirt rocks on trail off trail great grip... especially black and blue ones..... PLEASE keep these as a staple group... no need to change something as perfect as these!!!!

Comfortable and did not take any break in time. Does have shoe laces that are too long and need to be double tied in order to not come undone

These shoes are fabulous! I have worn hiking shoes walking my dogs on the beach for years, trying to ward off plantar fasciitis. These hikers feel like motion control running shoes, and the Gortex lining keeps the sand out. I wear a narrow in Brooks shoes, and these have a similar fit. I don't know if this is fact or my imagination, but the sand doesn't seem to stick to the soles so less sand clean-up in the house. I highly recommend Salomon hikers, this is my second pair.

The shoes are quite comfortable and do the job, as advertised, in the rain. I found the shoes to be a comfortable with, with good arch support. I have gone on several 2 to 3 mile dog walks in them initially, and plan to take them on a trip overseas in anticipation of having some rainy weather. At this point, I highly recommend and hope I will feel the same in another month! I generally wear an eight to an 8 1/2 in hiking shoes and then the shoes he ate was ample. Highly recommend.

Outpulse Hikers are my new favorite shoes for everyday and hiking. Size 8 - True to size. So comfortable. Plenty of room in the toe area.

I bought these sneakers to wear on a 10-day trip to New Orleans in January. I wanted something that would be comfortable for walking around on pavement all day and that would be waterproof, in case of inclement weather. These shoes did not disappoint. I wore them all day, every day. They have great foot support, are totally comfortable, and look very nice. In March, I went on an 11-day trip to Virginia Civil War battlefields and presidents' homes. Once again, I was on my feet all day. These were the only shoes I took with me, and they are absolutely my favorites when I do a lot of walking. I'm going to San Francisco in 2 weeks, and of course, I'm wearing my Salomon's.

Loving my new hiking shoes. So comfortable and the color is awesome. I've worn them a few times and everything is perfect from support, water proof and style. My husband is now wanting a pair

I bought these because I had had some Salomon walking sandals which were the best I ever had and needing some waterproof walking shoes I looked at Salomon and these don't disappoint at all. Very comfortable and supportive and although I have been in light rain so not yet tested fully for waterproofing, I am very pleased so far

Just bought my second pair of these shoes. I walk 3-5 miles a day through the rainy Seattle winters and the warm summers, I can happily wear these shoes all year round. They keep my feet dry, even when I'm kicking the soggy leaves blocking the curb drains. I bought the second pair just in case they stop making this style. It's so hard to find a comfortable waterproof shoe!

Very comfortable hiking shoe. Looks like a tennis shoe but with a sturdy tread. The toe area is very roomy, no need to go up a size as I sometimes do with athletic shoes.
