Thank you for not selling out. Keep making your product right here in America I am so glad to own a pair again. My dad bought me my original pair but after 15 years of normal wear they finally started leaking, so like most people I went out and bought the the local store brand cheap! Yeah they lasted about 2 months, no more I have never cared about the price it,s the quality. Also I always like to try them on and walk out with them, no more I ordered them Monday they arrived on Wednesday thank you!! I hope you pay your employees well I will never complain about the price for quality made in America products

I've owned a pair of Bean Boots that had over 30 years of wear on them. They are actually still going strong. But I felt it was time to get another pair so I purchased a new pair with a padded collar. Glad I did. The week I received them we had a snow storm that dumped over a foot of snow. The new boots got a work out. They held up very nicely and extremely comfortable.

Great boots. Soft leather and nice, comfy padded collar. Much more supple than the regular leather on the Bean boots. Be careful with size. I am usually a 12+ and the size 11 are perfect for me.

My wife purchased these boots for me (she has a similar pair). They are well-made and I appreciate the tongue of the boot being connected to prevent snow from making its way in. My wife wishes hers had the same feature. Overall, I wish I had purchased these sooner. Thanks, LL Bean.

I've wanted a pair of these all my life and finally pulled the trigger. I should have bought a pair of these years ago. Very comfortable and well built. I bought a size 10 after reading all the reviews. I normally wear a 11.5 to 12. Sure enough, the 10 fits me well. Now I'm trying to talk myself into getting a pair of the Chelsea boots!

After 3 pairs of boots, I found one. I was ordering them online, but them I finally decided to make the drive to try the boots on. I have wide toes and a high arch (and am a women). I decided to buy these as they don't have this in women's (although the 6 inches are cute too, but I wanted the higher boot for snow). They fit and are comfy. Been wearing them for the past 3 weeks. We just got a snow storm here (my first one!) and these boots came in handy as I work at the hospital and have to go to work. I was surprised they kept me warm in the snow, too. I was only out for 10 minutes or so with one pair of wool-mix socks and it was awesome. Can't wait to wear these on more rainy days.

Very comfortable right out of the box, tumbled definitely makes a difference. I looked at the size chart, ordered accordingly and they fit perfect. I normally wear a 10.5 so I ordered the 9. First day with them on so time will tell how they hold up. As for right now, I dont want to take them off! Thank you Jordan and the rest of the boot team.

Listen to their advice on the sizing. I wear an 11.5 and I ordered a 10 and they fit fine. I was wearing medium weight socks, but I think I could put on a thicker pair of socks and say the same about the fit. I now feel ready to move back to the mid-west next month... maybe. The boots will help though.. I hope.

This is the most comfortable unlined bean boot I've ever worn. The tumbled leather makes the boot easy to walk in. The padded collar is especially modern and stylish, yet compliments the boot in a way that maintains its classic prepster look. This is my third pair of bean boots, and for the fall season, ahead, it'll definitely be my favorite. Pictured below are my three boots, all which have stood the test of time. I look forward to seeing what adventures I'll go through with this pair as well.

My son requested the boots for Christmas. He loved them! The look is great, the quality is great, the fit is a little big but was explained very thoroughly when ordering! Overall, we love the boots and would purchase with LLBean in the future! Thanks for a great buying experience!

I have been looking for a good pair of rain boots for a while. And I was always recommended Bean Boots but I was always told to go into a store to get the right size. So I decided to not wait and order them online and follow LL Bean's guidance and order 1.5 sizes down (I'm a 10.5 wide and ordered a 9 regular) and I was honestly expecting to send them back and have to order the 10 regular or the 9 wide. NOOOOO follow LL Beans guidelines on the sizes. Love the boots super comfortable and look cool

OK...so know upfront these aren't lined. In fact, they've got a relatively unfinished feel inside in that you can feel the stitching and joints of all seams. BUT the tumbled leather is far more pliable that regular version, and the relatively low 8" profile makes the boot fairly easy to slip on. I purchased a pair of fleece insoles to add cushioning and warmth, so I can pull them on without socks to run the dog outside in the rain. Not quite the same as the fully lined shearling version, but comfy enough. Add a good pair of socks, and you can shovel snow for hours or just muck about on a rainy, muddy day. The description shows these running large and recommends ordering 1-1.5 sizes smaller than usual, but I normally wear a 12, and the 12 boot fits just fine. As others have noted, they also run a bit narrow, but that makes sense since the rubber soles and sides aren't so heavily constructed as other boots...your foot would be more prone to rolling if there were more width to move around in. In all, great Made in USA quality for a good price.

My boots arrived the day before we got hit with 6" of snow. I put on a pair of heavy socks and spent an hour clearing out my driveway. The boots were very comfortable. My feet were dry and warm. I'm glad that I made this purchase. My thanks to Lancelot, the boot maker at LL Bean, whose name was on the card that came in the box.

Like others I went to a local LL Bean store to try on several duck boots. Narrowed it down to the basic 8" boot. But the regular leather was stiff enough that the folded "tongue" rubbed against the top of my ankle, enough to be irritating. Clearly that would likely go away with use. However I'm not as active as I used to be anymore so when I tried the tumbled leather version I was delighted to find that it felt like I was wearing boots I've worn for a year. The softer leather and the rear collar makes this boot easier to get on and off. I was concerned that the rear collar being synthetic might be flimsy but it is as sturdy as the rest of the boot. I wear a size 8 shoe and the size 7 boot fits perfectly, so what everyone says about getting one size smaller is true. I wore these boots in 36F air temp completely still on an aluminum boat and at 4 hours I began to feel cold at the toes with medium weight socks. Being still outdoors in winter of course loses much more heat then walking. I did consider a thinsulate model but I had one decades ago and they get too hot for warm month use. Anything colder/longer I'll have to put on my LL Bean snow boots. I couldn't be happier with my choice.

After buying, owning, and gifting a large amount of LL Bean product, I have oddly never owned a pair of bean boots. Just purchased these as a good boot for the rainy, muddy, light snow days and so far they have been great! No legitimate break in compared to a pair of redwings (also awesome but not ideal for wet conditions). Stitching looks solid as a rock. Extremely water resistant but surprisingly breathable. The fit of all LL bean footwear for me seems to be long and narrow but I think I have wider feet than most. Sizing is a little larger than I thought but works well if paired with some thicker boot socks. I don't recommend wearing these with a pair of thin socks. The leather back is super comfy and makes that break-in period non-existent. I approve.

While I have not had that long to test them out fully, the boots are everything I expected. I usually take a size 10.5 and took Bean's advice to order a size 9. They surprised me by being just right with mid-weight socks.

Couldn't be happier with the tumbled leather and padded bean boot. Looked at many varieties but kept coming back to these because of the broken in feel of the leather. I'm a 9.5/10 shoe size and went with the 9 boot and they fit good. A little narrow in the toe area but still comfy, and actually helps keep them on with a little snugger feel. Really like the 8" size because when you lace them up you get good support up around your ankles. Plan to wear these around the yard, and on rainy and wet days. I have a pair of Storm Chaser lace ups for snowy winter days. With these I now have the best of both worlds and can handle all scenarios mother nature throws at us.

I Love Bean Boots, but to me, nothing beats the tumbled leather Bean Boots. They are the finest quality and putting these boots on was like putting on an old, broken in boot that fits perfectly. I put them on day one and took a hike, no issues! They are worth it.

So these boots are the same as the flagship 8" boots, but they come with beautiful, soft, tumbled leather and padded collars. What does this mean? That the break in period takes minutes instead of weeks. I went to an LL Bean store to try them on (hey, with clothes, shoes, etc I want to know they fit). I had a bear of heavy wool socks sticking out of my shorts pocket (yes, I looked like a goof), slipped those on and tried on boots. I'm normally a 9 1/2, but the 9's, with my heavy wool socks, fit like a champ. But they didn't have the tumbled leather and padded collar boots in my size so they shipped them to me. They were perfect. These boots are great for hunting, for shoveling snow, for walking the dog, and for doing just about anything in inclement and pleasant weather both. I highly recommend them.

They are probably worthy of 5 stars, but mine feel a tad too big so my feet slip around in them when wearing regular socks. I have not tried them with thick socks because I don't have any right now. After wearing them a half dozen times in snow, on ice and on pavement, they seem to come as advertised. My walks included through puddles of water and they have kept my feet dry. Long term wear-and-tear I will have to wait and see.

I ordered a 9 for my son who is an 8.5/9 usually. Had to return them and order an 8. They were still too big! Returned again and ordered a 7 and they fit with a little wiggle room for thick socks. Hard to believe these run so big. What do men with a shoe size smaller than 8 or 8.5 do? These only come in 7 and bigger. At least they fit now and he likes them. This boot is a lot more comfortable than the regular Men's Bean Boots (the non-tumbled leather ones). Giving these 4 starts because I had to buy 3 pairs and return 2 and lost $13 to pay to return them. Son is a college student and plans to wear them to class on rainy/snowy days.

Love the book. Quality materials. Strong stitching; although, the leather inside should be folded downward at the ankle to create a smoother and more comfortable fit.
