Crap soles. Mine didn’t wear out after less than a year they disintegrated in a crumbly rubber mess. Applied for a warranty through their website but it’s a scam. They never bothered to answer. I had a pair in. The 1990s that lasted 10 years. Quality is definitely not the same now.

The soles of these boots fell apart after 2 years of very light use. The very this layer of rubber literally falls of in chunks creating flaps and renders boots unusable. Extremely disappointed by a boot at this price that is very poorly made.

I really liked these boots initially. The first pair that I owned began to separate after six months. Zappos exchanged them with little problem. The sole on the second pair basically disintegrated after about two years with good tread block remaining. They are in the landfill now. I will not purchase Blundstones again.

The boot that arrived did not seem to even be the shoe ordered. The boot was in a generic and unmarked brown cardboard box. What was that about? The toe was square and there was absolutely no support. It seemed very poorly constructed. VERY disappointed.

I really wanted to keep these boots but after trying thick socks, thin socks, jeans tucked in, jeans out with thermals, I had to return it because it scrape the back of my leg above the ankle so bad that I had to buy a packet of Band-Aids. For those of you vertically challenged like me, the boots may pose a problem.

Buyer beware. Blundstones are beautiful boots but after a couple of years the soles completely disintegrate. It happened to mine so I did a web search and learned that it has been a wide spread product defect with their boots. I noted a number of sites on the Internet that offer resole services for defective Blundstones for a fairly high price. That is a lot of money to repair a pair of boots that should last much longer than they actually do. My 500s are little used and look almost new. I expected to wear them for much longer. They are not worth the money in my opinion. Do some web research before you buy.

The soles of Blundstone boots fall apart...believe me! And they won't take them back.

I bought a pair of these boots that were not made in my size, so I went with the closest size. As soon as they broke in and became comfortable the leather split at the sole by the small toe, in an unrepairable way. 2 1/2 years and now the shoes are garbage! I would never buy them again!

Beware: Blundstones are disposable. My Blundstones soles fell apart and they can't be resoled. They just crumbled into dust. I wore them in an office environment (no chemicals or industrial environment) three or four times a week. I took them to a few cobblers to have them fixed assuming normal wear and tear but the all said they couldn't be fixed The response from Blundstone was that I didn't wear them enough (as I said I wore them 3 or 4 times a week). Something about the "PU" soles needing to be compressed on a regular basis. This is a lot to pay for something that needs that much attention and can't be repaired. Stay away.

Wow. I usually wouldn't write a review for a pair of shoes, but my goodness, are these horrible. You really need to be aware that these are not the Blundstones of 10 years ago. First, the "leather" is more like a cheap plastic. It's really cheap looking, feels cheap, and is thin. There's no way these are going to last. The leather crinkles awkwardly across the top of the boot when I walk. Look at all the other reviews talking about the leather. I should have. Additionally, the sole is made out of a material similar to a pair of Crocs. While this certainly made them comfortable to walk in, they don't give me much confidence in their long term durability. The fact that Blundstone charges this price for these is insulting. Five stars to Zappos, though, as usual, for outstanding customer service.

I have now owned two pairs of Blundstone BL500. Although they at first are a pleasant acquaintance, the much less than average quality and durability of the shoes make me say: Overpriced garbage. On the first pair I had, the overshoe parted from the sole after about a year. From what I could deem, the leather was about 1mm thick around where the sole was glued to the leather. On the second pair, the sole cracked completely trough after about a year, so that water seeped right into the shoe. Both pairs were in pristine order otherwise, they where not the victim of any rough use and I had impregnated them regularly. The top shoes still looked almost unused at the point where they had to go into the garbage.

It's amazing that a boot that has stood the test of time could send their manufacturing overseas and now the boot feels cheap, plastic and the leather is actually painted not dyed. I purchased these against my better judgment and now I'm sorry to say I was right. My last pair lasted over 8 years and now these look old and worn after only a month.

It\'s heart-wrenching for me to write this review. This will be the first "one" star review I have ever sat down to type out - for this product the rating is justified. I have lusted after a pair of Blundstones for longer than I can remember. I finally broke down this week and ordered a pair. Like a little school girl on Christmas Day, I giggled and shaked as I anxiously opened the box after receiving them the next day (Zappos, you ROCK!). I pulled one boot out of the box and my jaw hit the floor. I could not believe how cheap and "plasticy" the boots felt in my hands. The leather is very thin and very tough. Not the supple high grade leather I would expect from a high end boot. I reluctantly slipped them on and immediately took them back off again. I looked inside at the tag - "Made in Thailand." That immediately explained all. I placed them back in the box with a heavy heart and sadly returned them. Those boots were not the Blundstones I had lusted after all these years. They are crap. I might have kept them if I only paid 50 bucks, NOT $150. I checked every shoe in my closet and, with the exception of a pair of Sidi cycling shoes and a pair of Redwing boots, every one was "Made in China." I guess that's where all the craftsmen are, because I have very little complaints with the quality of every single one of those shoes. Thanks Zappos for being such as awesome company. I hate to send these back to you, but Blundstone has lost my business for good.
