I really like these boots. I own several pairs of Ecco shoes and boots and I'm usually very happy with them. The only complaint I ever have with Ecco shoes/boots is when I buy a pair with the thin soles. Every once in a while Ecco will put out a shoe/boot with a thin sole and I just don't find it as supportive or comfortable. I have a similar pair of boots to this Avant, with the thinner sole, and I'm not a huge fan of them. This Avant, in comparison, has a much thicker sole and is much more comfortable and supportive.

I’ve had Ecco in the past and marveled at their comfort. This pair did not disappoint. It be great to have them in black but since I have no brown shoes I thought I’d give them a go.

Fit and width were true size. Very comfortable. Looks dressy but great for cold and (small amounts) of snow. Would highly recommend.

Pro: They look great! Removable insole was relatively cushy and comfortable as well. Cons: Boot felt a little bigger than size and was loose on my ankles when I walked (bought size "9-9.5"; I typically wear 9.5 or 10 in most brands/styles). The leather splotched easily when wet, which would've been unfortunate had I needed to walk in the rain. Also scratched easily. The seams appear glued instead of stitched, which is not something I'd expect with a shoe in this price range (stitching allows for repair/replacement of the sole, so more expensive shoes can literally last decades). I've seen (and own) better quality boots that cost much less. I ended up returning this pair.
