I got these pants in anticipation of a trip to Ireland that will include hiking and museum visits. These pants fit very nicely and look nice enough to wear around the city and into museums and restaurants...and they will be lightweight for washing and drying out in our B&B's. They will be great hiking because they repel water and when wet, should dry quickly. I like the zippered pockets at the hip for security, and the side leg pocket for easy phone access. I only ordered one pair, but I am going to order more just to have to wear all the time! Dressier than jeans and oh so comfortable!

very nice pants, but sized very small in many areas

I really liked a lot about these pants. However, even after sizing up, the pants were too tight in the waist. They fit everywhere else, including the hips. But despite not having a particularly large waist, the pants were just way too tight around the stomach -- even with the elastic. This seems to be a recurring problem with Columbia's pants.

Very comfortable material and I like the style which can adjust the pant's length!

Great pants for hiking. Can't wait to try them in the summer when they are able to be rolled up into capris!

Got a size up (10) than my usual (8) and it fit perfectly! Im apple shaped and it wasnt awkward around the stomach

Excellent water resistant hiking pants. Fits well, and flattering! I did order a size up as some others mentioned and they are great!

Great pants (but fit is on the slim side). Bought for hiking and they were comfortable and durable. Only washed twice, but come out looking great. I would buy again.

A comfortable relaxed fit, breathable, resists moisture. Runs a smidge small, so size up if you are on the edge.

The waist has elastic part so a belt isn’t needed. These are the second pair that I have gotten. I first got the black, and then ordered the dark indigo. Originally purchased to take to Ireland and Uk where we will be hiking a lot, but also going to museums and out for dinner and other touristy things. These pants have great zipping pockets, phone pocket and look dressy enough for town and perfect for on the trail.

Very comfortable sports pants. I wear them playing golf. Love them!!

Glad I followed other reviewers' advice to order a size up. Normally wear a size 10, but ordered a 12 and fits just right. The waist doesn't have as much "give" as I like, but I really like the pants and will be great for travel. Like all the pockets.

These pants are a good quality fabric and have a nice stretch to them. Great for golfing and other activity. I found that they ran smaller than suggested. Especially around the waist I would size up for a little more room in the waist line. The legs were perfect and the length was great! For reference I am a size 12 and I have a average to hourglass figure.

These pants are too snug overall. I am usually between sizes and ordered up, but still way too snug - especially in the rise...not comfortable.

Phone pocket not secure, fabric heavier than expected and a bit scratchy.

I wore the pants on a hiking trip to the Adirondacks. Two days outside and they were extremely comfortable and great for hiking up and down mountains. They didn’t ride up or fall down which was a concern with no belt loops. The only negative thing I would say is that after being outside and getting muddy and dirty and sweaty the washing instructions are cold gentle cycle. They were dirty and I don’t know how much that would clean them.

These pants are very comfortable and easy to move/sweat in while still looking nice. HOWEVER, the reason why I'm giving them a 3 instead of a 5 would be the fact that they do not have belt loops. It is a scrub-like fit without drawstrings or belt loops, so if it is a little loose you have to pull them up a lot. Other than that, I really like them.

These are not true to size. I ordered a 16 in this model and was more like a 12.

Runs a good two sizes too small. My other Columbia pants are size 10. I bought these in 10 and could barely get them up and they were several inches from being able to button.

I am very disappointed with this purchase, everything turned out horrible. Yesterday I received my package because it was lost, so I measured it and it fit me well at the waist, but everything else was awful, the fit is very strange and does not give a nice shape to the body, but the worst thing was that when it was washed it all the color faded that was the last straw for me, the pants are supposed to be new. Columbia disappointed me with this.

The pants were great. Too bad I couldn't wear them. They were marked as 10, which I wear. But were 2 sizes smaller.

Too tight about the waist. Weird cut, weird shape. Not good.
