I have had many pairs of Dansko shoes over the years. These are my least favorite. The style and the fit is nice. The problem for me is that there's hardly any padding/support under the toe box so you feel every bump on the pavement and this isn't obvious when you're just trying the shoes on by walking around your house on the carpeted/even floor. The very small heel causes you to place most of your weight and pressure under the toe box when you walk and this becomes painful after standing and walking all day. IMO no style is worth the discomfort. That's the reason I wear Dansko in the first place.

I wear a dansko 42 very consistently and this boot is true to size. It is not roomy enough for a thick wool sock. The style is beautiful and follows the shape of the calf and so would work well under slacks or jeans or outside of skinny jeans or legging tights. That said, I don't like the zipper in the back. I don't like it on my heel. It is well lined but I don't like the extra leather there. I also wanted a boot I could wear a thick wool sock with. This is a more dressed up style as it's pretty sleek. You could call it dress casual. I need something casual casual and no zipper in the back.

These boots look just like the picture and are comfortable like other Dansko shoes. The fit is good and didn't really need to be broken in.

Cute, comfy, and versatile! Compared dansko bethanie, these are a little more narrow and the ankle opening is smaller as well (which I like - the opening on the bethanie is big and I returned them because of that.)

I liked these a lot, they were very comfortable right out of the box. They were ultimately a return because the shaft length was awkward with the typical length of pants and skirts I wear, otherwise they would have been an enthusiastic keeper. I did buy both the brown and black to see which I liked best and noted that the brown looks classier and more expensive than the black for some reason.

I really liked the fit - great toe room! Nice leather and sole. Wasn't too fond of the top of the bootie digging into my thin lower calf though. Otherwise very nice bootie. I'm also wondering what happened to Zappos' free UPS Pickup at my door? Now I have to take them to a UPS store after printing a label? Free UPS pickup is what put Zappos above the rest! But not anymore. :(

Awesome boot overall. Roomy across ball of foot & toes. Insole smooth and comfortable wearing nylon hose without socks. Slight platform balances the look of the rounded toe. Super good arch support. Back zipper has an inside placket, which means zipper does not touch your skin; completely comfortable. Returned because I have fuller calves. The inside measurement of size 7 med., at very top of shaft, is 7.75 inches. Just need a bit more space there to have this be comfortable for wearing all day. Sad to return!

I wear these everyday and they’ve held up amazingly well. Goes great with pants, jeans, dresses. Can wear with socks thick and thin or tights, and the leather shapes to your foot. I have a narrow foot and am quite tall (6’1”) and these look fantastic. I want another pair!

Nice simple boots, fit well, comfortable

The heel could be a bit higher for me, but overall I like them quite a bit. I got both the black and the brown. Pairs well with dress pants, jeans or even leggings. comfy shoes. Zipper in the back slides easily. doesn't rub the heel.

These are absolutely beautiful - really rich, pretty leather in a stylish boot. However, the shaft is narrow. Especially if you are short from your ankle to your knee, the taller style plus narrow shaft means it might be too narrow for big calves or short legs. The zipper in the back feels weird too and was hard to zip up.

High quality leather and manufacture. Loved the style and they were really comfortable on first fit, though the back of the insole insert in one shoe hit my heel a little ahead of where it should have. Returning because they only look good with leggings or tights, or possibly with wide-leg pants, but that is not my winter style. The price was too high to justify keeping them for a few wears a month, max.

Leather looks and feels terrific. Nice fit and best of all I love the flexible sole. So comfortable!

Very nice but a “no”. I love the arch support in Dansko and have several pairs of sandals. But they were too snug across the top part of my foot. I ordered the next size up hoping they’re not too big everywhere else. We’ll see!

Excellent quality and perfect fit. My feet are a bit wide and so I am very happy to find this boot!

My daughter wears a size 12. These boots made her feet look an 8. Bought both colors. She loves them.

It took me a good long time to break in these boots. Probably about 7-8 wears. When I first got them, I couldn't get one of the boots zipped because it was so tight around my foot! But the wonderful, soft leather stretches and now they are comfortable and oh so cute. I have a bunion that requires a large toe box, and orthotic inserts, and these boots accommodate both. But, like I said, only after a significant breaking in period.

I usually love Danskos. Unfortunately these did not work for me. They were very narrow, and the style was weird. I felt like they looked very generic. The leather is nice though.

This boot has good arch support but just too narrow even with thin socks. It just felt like there was a band around my foot. I would not recommend this boot if your feet are slight wider than medium. This would probably be great for narrow feet.

I wish this was available in wide.

I am so disappointed in these shoes. I love this brand and have several of their shoes I they are the most comfy shoes I own. These have no cushion in them at all. They have a lot of arch support though. They are very beautiful shoes. I'm so sad that they are so uncomfortable.
