Comfortable and perfect for healing my Achilles tendinitis. Love these shoes!

I am not a runner. I bought these to wear with my Good Feet arch supports. They are very attractive. My only criticism is that the laces will not always stay tied. I am guessing it's due to the fabric. My other Brooks shoes have different laces and do not have that problem. Anyway, I am happy with Ghost 14 overall.

I am honestly a little disappointed with my new Ghost 14. I have a ghost 12 which I used for many years and it has been very soft since my day 1, which is why I decided to get another ghost. However I feel that the ghost 14 it is not nearly as comfortable and soft as my ghost 12 was.

These shoes are used for walking. I love the way they grip my heel.

I keep saying I am going to try different shoes than the ghost and then I just don't because I love them. Same as they've always been in a great way. Only think I'm struggling with on these is the shoe laces seem a little different than other pairs of brooks I have and are coming untied easily but that's an easy swap or may just take a few more runs to break in

I've worn the Ghost running shoe since the 10 and have appreciated the cushioning, arch support and overall comfort. This is a big deal, since I developed rheumatoid arthritis. I'm no longer able to run, but use my Ghost shoes for walking or any time I have to be on my feet long - basically daily. I find the Ghost 14 to have stiffer cushioning than previous versions. Having purchased 3 pairs of 14's, I can't help but compare them and have found some are softer than others. My sore feet are a bit narrow and Brooks has always been a great fit in the regular width. The Ghost 14 is narrower than previous editions and I can't wear my cushioned running socks, only my thin ones. I've never had that happen with any Brooks running shoe. I normally have enough extra room to accommodate days when my feet swell or I want to use a cushioned sock, yet still have a good fit when they are their normal boney size. Not with the 14's. My favorite pair is the 098-Ebony/Black/Purple that has a leopard print in black. The sole is softer but the arch is more supportive. The shoe is designed for a neutral foot, so if you tend to pronate you should select a more supportive shoe. The upper is soft, but the laces are too short. That is saying something because my feet are narrow and boney. I lack the normal padding people are supposed to have under their feet. When I was a runner I used to tie my laces double and wouldn't be able to do that with the Ghost 14. A few years ago I fractured my foot in a number of places and it is still uncomfortable to have any shoe fit tightly across the top of my foot. I can just barely tie the laces if my foot isn't swollen and not at all if it is swollen or more sore. Something to keep in mind if you have a more normal sized foot that has some padding under your heel and balls of your feet (metatarsal heads) or a wider foot. I contacted Brooks to see if they had longer laces that matched my shoes I could purchase. They do not. I was referred to an online shoelace store. The shoe with the leopard print has purple leopard print laces, so I will not be able to find those to match. Brooks really needs to use longer laces for the Ghost 14. A buyer shouldn't have to buy new laces that actually fit (but are not the same material and style) from a secondary market, especially at the price point of Ghost. The laces and less cushion than the 13 are the reason for the 4 rating.

I love these shoes! They are the most comfortable shoes I've owned. They fit my feet perfectly, and there was no break-in time. I love the combination of colors (peacoat, yucca, and navy). However, the white on the midsole really stands out. I would prefer a light gray to the white.

Good stable shoe. Was concerned about sole being too stiff but very comfortable

Comfortable for all day work. Wonderful cushion in heel. Typically buy ASICS, but thought I'd try these. I find they are equal to ASICS at double the price. If you need the arch support, these are for you. Cute style. I am normally a 7.5. 8 fits perfectly.

Lighter shoe. Good for road running. White one shows dirt.

I don't run. I'm overweight and middle aged and need to wear supportive shoes from the minute I get up until I crawl into bed. Previously I have had amazing relief from back, knees, and sciatic pain with the Glycerine 17's. The new glycerine's aren't the same, I've tried them and returned them . Have been trying to find the next best thing. These are "okay." They don't feel as supportive as I need and a little roomier in the heel than I like, but at the rate I wear out my shoes, I'll make do and try a different model next time.

Love these shoes, very comfortable. But please, please go back to the Glycerin laces. These ones suck, they come untied in the middle of my run no matter how I tie them, and the crossed lace loosens over time so the shoe isn't as supportive. Had awful foot cramping in the middle of a workout before I realized this was a problem. I switched them out with my old laces, but come on. We pay good money for these shoes, there's no reason Brooks can't put decent laces on all of them.
