Bought for painful plantar fasciitis for last 6 months. Felt tight. Also, tight on my bunion left foot. However, friend stated the fit of the shoe is intended to correct poor foot orientation. So, after a four hour trial— my feet feel the best they have in months! Keeping these! Yay!

The Wave Sky 5 has saved my back. Suggested to get these by staff at Red Coyote after video of me walking on treadmill. My back literally quit hurting so bad after a couple of days. I then bought some Wave Sky 4 to have extra shoes and my back is already hurting again. Getting a pair of the 5 now!

These shoes are far more supportive in the arch than my Hokas and have a far more substantial tread on the sole. My Hokas seemed to be wearing out really fast so giving these a try!! So far, so good!!!

The cushion in the heels are incredible! I needed a large toe box and these deliver! I’m incredibly pleased with this shoe. I did order a 1/2 size larger due to previous customer reviews.

What happened to the MIzuno wave 4 sky? It had a comfortable toe box and fit well through the mid foot without squashing. I was waiting for this version because of the 8mm heel to toe drop and its very narrow and I have a narrow foot. I need to put orthotics in the shoe and I felt like my foot was squashed width wise. Now the toe box is freakishly narrow and pointed in an unhuman direction. Whose foot looks like this? I ordered up a half size which was unnecessary. I'm going to try the half size down or maybe go to a wide but I never wear a wide. Why did you change a good thing, Miuzuno? The best thing I can say is it has a more padded tongue than the 4 and is well made.

It is a sharp looking sneaker BUT I was surprised at how narrow and short it felt for a size 11W. I had to check the label a couple times to make sure it wasn't a mixup with a pair of 10M but it was labeled 11W. Quality seemed fine but I didn't have them on more than a minute.

Overall, I love these shoes. I have them in black and in white! I’m someone with extremely flat, narrow feet (size 10 A) and these work like a charm! Love the fact that my heels feel secure and the toe box isn’t enormous. Also appreciate the amount of cushion, as “stabilizing” shoes tend to be stiff… not these! Perfect for me!

These shoes are comfortable and supportive. Have worn Mizunos for years and these are close to my favorite.

Mizuno shoes always feel like they’re made for my feet. These are my first Wave Skys. The cushioning in the heel and the ball of your foot is fantastic - very supportive and still lightweight. One downside is that Mizunos are notorious for running small. In any other brand - and even in older Mizunos - I wear an 8, but for these I needed 8.5.

Very thin soul. Personally do not like to feel the road that much

Fit is great. I always order 1/2 size larger in Mizunos and the fit is always reliable. They are very comfortable.

So comfortable and supportive. Has an almost springy quality. Lightweight with lots of cushion without sacrificing the support needed for all day comfort. My all time favorite shoes for the hospital!

Either my feet are getting longer, or shoe lasts are getting shorter. I went up a half size in these Mizuno Wave Sky 5 and they fit really well. I really like the white shoe with the aqua accent.

Im a nurse with a bad ankle who’s on her feet 12 hrs. a day. Feels like walking on a cloud yet support is solid. Also looks terrific on my feet. Worth the price.

I love them but the 10s were too small (toe box is more narrow than the wave sky 4) and the 10.5 was too big. I’m sad bc I love this style but I had to switch to a different brand.

These shoes looked good, but they weren't that comfortable. There was no springiness to the shoe and they bothered the bottom of my sensitive feet.

I’ve been wearing Mizunos for at least 10 years, and I’ve tried various models (e.g., Wave Prophecy, Wave Horizon) and, along the way, went from walking uphill to running uphill on a treadmill 5 miles a day. So far, the Wave Sky has the best mix of cushion and durability (specifically in the footplate and toebox). I found I was blowing through the other Mizunos because the toebox was too soft, wore down quickly, and put me at risk of “treadmill toe” (i.e., where your big toe hits the front of the shoe, thus bruising/damaging the nail—takes MONTHS to grow back properly!). Aesthetically, I also love the material of the upper on these Wave Skys—just a hint of sheen, and a nice contrasting neon trim that matches most any workout gear. Re: sizing, Mizunos do run at least a 1/2 size small; I’ve found that, since transitioning to running and wearing compression ankle wraps while doing so, I need to buy a full size up, and that does the trick. I’ll definitely be buying another pair!

Strangely, these shoes wear holes in all my socks. Doesn’t matter if I wear them for an 8 hour work day, or to walk 3-4 miles at the park. I’m throwing away socks every time I wear them.

Narrow and uncomfortable

I wanted to try this new style, as I’ve always ordered the wave rider. When running in this shoe, I constantly felt like I was forcing my right heel to land on the inside of my foot, as I felt like my ankle was going to roll outward so these are definitely not a shoe for stability despite being well cushioned - I will stick with the wave rider. If you order this shoe, I would recommend going a full size up. For example, I am an 8, 8.5 in other sneakers but always a 9 in mizuno.

I have worn Mizuno's for many years and am perplexed with this shoe. My toes are lifted off the ground in a weird, unstable way. I am not a runner, but wear them in many different exercise classes where we jump, lunge and step onto a platform. I'm going to return them because I don't want to twist my ankle or fall. Disappointed because they look good.
