Although Zappos recommended a half size bigger, I ordered my true size along with the bigger shoe. I found my true size to fit perfectly (although that was without a thick sock.) I have a high instep, but this style works for my foot. I felt that the toe box had enough room for my toes to be happy. I like the soft heel because it is easier to slip on and doesn't rub when you walk. I thought these shoes might be uncomfortable, but they are very comfortable. They lack to padding for serious walking (but they aren't walking shoes either.) I have liked this new style for a while, but had trouble getting it to fit my foot. With other brands I had trouble with the canvas being heavy and rubbing on my feet. But these shoes are the most comfortable ones I've tried with this style. Now I'm not sure about those laces. They are really too loose for my feet, so I may replace them so they tie. The material of the shoes is really cute for spring and summer.

I have always wanted a pair of Converse and so glad I finally was able to purchase my first pair. I just love them and the comfort and feel is awesome, not to mention do not have to tie the shoes. I maybe 65 but want to be cool styling as well.

These were great right out of the box. I got my usual size and so far have worn them only with a ped-type sock with gripper heel so can’t say how they are with bare feet.

Runs very small. I wear a 9.5 or 10 in most shoes (typically a 9.5 in Chucks) and the 10 felt uncomfortably snug, even without socks. It's a visibly smaller shoe than other Chucks. It also doesn't work with the made-for-Chucks no-show socks because they are a rather thick synthetic and the Summer Fest doesn't cover the whole top of the foot. It's more like a boat shoe, in terms of coverage. The insole on these is softer than other Chucks, which was nice, but there's zero arch support (as on all styles except the Move) and the stitching on the silver pull tab (as well as the tab itself) rubbed my Achilles in a gonna-have-blisters kinda way.
