Although I am returning these, I'm writing a review to be more specific about why. They fit well enough and the materials are nice. They are not what i would call hiking boots - the soles have a very shallow, uniform tread. That alone wouldn't be a deal breaker as I had planned to use them for exercise walking rather than technical hiking. Arch support is somewhere between "none" and "moderate", but with SmartFeet insoles switched in they were much better. (I wish Zappos would expand the options for responding to the fit and support questions!) It's not a visually slim profile, but I need a wide toe box for my weird left foot so. These are very comfy and cool looking, but they are more of a fashion sneaker/hiker, so returned because I need a sturdy shoe. As with my wish for more options in answering the above questions, I also wish the "why are you returning?" question had more options. I had to check "unhappy with the style" which is not true - it's just not what I was looking for.

Runs narrow, so had to return. otherwise good construction and comfort.

Definitely recommended. These shoes are great! Plenty comfy. Plenty warm (just walked 3 miles in a mix of snow and dirt). Feet are dry. Plus I personally think they are stylish. Good go to kicks for winter when you don’t want to wear a sluggish winter boot. I usually wear a 9.5 in running shoes and a 9 in dress shoes. I ended up with a 9.

These are super comfortable and cushy—like a cross between sneakers and hiking boots. Sole is solid enough to walk on rocky urban park trail without discomfort. I’ve gotten several compliments on the style. There is not a huge amount of arch support, but otherwise no complaints.

Got these for my 17 year-old for long hikes in the desert. She didn't want anything clunky or heavy -- these are light and comfortable. I don't know yet how durable they are, but they have held up well for a few months of heavy use.

These shoes are amazing! I walk on concrete a lot and the arch support is amazing. I get compliments on them nearly every day by coworkers. I work in environments with high humidity, water, and sticky debris/residue. The material is holding up great. I have no complaints :)

Absolutely love these shoes! I am in Mammoth right now, and they have been my go to shoe every day, with weather in the 20s and 30s and snow on the ground. So comfy, I just added a cushioning trail sock, and I don’t want to take them off.
