I hate returning stuff. I really do. As true-to-size and (moderately) comfortable as these shoes were, they were impossible to put on without a shoehorn and a lot of adjusting. The opening is stretchy and too small, so the entire collar curls in. Slipping them off was easy-peasy. Once on, they were tight over the instep even without tightening the laces. If you have a low instep or narrow foot, this may not be a problem. The foot bed was med-firm but also a little cushy, no arch support hump, only what the cush might form. I consider this to be a somewhat soft sole shoe. The toe box was okay but more tapered than I like. My big toe was happy, the baby toe not so much. I wear a size 11M and though they looked cute in the picture, the sizes were obviously made larger by extending the front of the shoe. So, in my size, they looked like platypus noses. Not my goal. Overall, the shoe was a stretch knit, so not much side support, but that was actually pretty comfortable when first put on. Might be less so if worn for an extended time.

I am pleased with the Tama shoe in most areas. The shoe is easy to slip on and off. The knit material also keeps the shoe snug around my foot. I find the arch support to be extremely supportive. The main downside I have to the shoe is that the back comes up passed my heel, so I can feel it rubbing. Although one heel may get a red streak, the skin on the heel does not tear. Therefore, after a bit of a wearing time, I do not feel the rubbing that much. I tried putting in an insert that would raise my heel a bit but it slipped toward the front of the shoe. I also have some pads that go under the insole that were designed for another brand of shoe. I traced the Tama's insole onto this pad and cut the pad to conform to the Tama's shape. I now have that pad under the Tama insole. I have not tried it yet, so I do not know if this is a remedy or not. I do believe it will raise my heel, but I can also envision that the toe box on the Tama will not have as much room.

This is a very cute shoe and sits nicely on the foot. However, it does not really HOLD the foot, and if you needing something to cradle you as you walk, this will not do the trick.

Fabric top easy is on my arthritic toes. Not the most beautiful shoes I've owned but certainly cool looking and Vegan for those who are looking for this type of shoe.

I love the Vegan Naot. These fit differently/felt like they put the shoes together wrong

The insoles offered good support, but I was hoping these shoes were more supportive around my feet. The textile material was soft with not much structure and my feet moved around (like a sock with a sole). Great design and nice sole!
