The Sense Ride 2 was the first Salomon shoe I fell in love with and the evolutions of the sense ride do not disappoint. I find these extremely comfortable for varied trail and even if your route takes in some level of road. I really like the fit of the new 4s, especially at the ankle. For me the fit is good, but I do notice that there is slightly less room in this model at the front of the foot (before toes) compared to the Sense Ride 3.

I have been running with the Sense Ride 3 for a while and didn't think that shoe could get any better, but it did! The Sense Ride 4 is even more comfortable, super light and very responsive. I REALLY recommend this shoe...

I have run about 100 miles so far in these shoes and am obsessed!! They are incredibly comfortable, but can also handle rocky and technical terrain. I've been using them to train in snow and mud, and thanks to how breathable they are I have had no issues with wet feet. They have awesome traction that works for smooth dirt trails or slippery rock. I typically use the product for medium to longer trail runs, but also have found myself rocking them around for a casual day since they're so comfortable, and I love the color (light blue). I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a stellar all-around trail shoe for either hiking or running. PS- I usually size down in Salomons 1/2 a size from my normal shoe size.

This is my 6th pair of Salomon Sense Rides and the Sense Ride 4s are even better than previous models. Perfect all around trail shoes-- durable and comfy on long runs on any type of terrain. Will absolutely keep buying the Sense Ride 4s.

I bought these for an upcoming trip and they were great! They took no time to break in and left me pain free after being on my feet all day. I was surprised by how pink they are in person when the photos make them look more neutral/sandy. The clicking sound IS present; but I found that the more I wear them, the less it happens and it doesn't bother me.

Overall, comfortable shoe. Super irritated by the shallow pocket to tuck laces into. The rope lace covers the pocket and when cinching shoes up, nearly impossible to tuck laces according to how Salomon typically designs this feature.

Love this shoe! The plastic tip on laces bounce when walking/running. It's annoying.

Great shoes, exceptional price, fit was off. 1/2 size too long and arch fit was off for my wife.

12 hour ED shifts. Study build - I have a feeling these are going to last a long time. No overheating LOVE the lacing system - never had to adjust. Very fast and comfortable. 4 out of 5 due to an irritating pinching feeling in the heels if standing for a prolonged period of time. With sitting and movement the pain was diminished. They fit well and w/o the pinching would be the perfect shoe.

On pair 3. These feel harder & wider. Size 10. Needing to wear thicker socks. Hoping they break in soon.

I've had these for almost a year now, put probably 200 miles on them so far, and they're wonderful. I'm training for my first 50k now and they've been super comfortable well into the 4 hour training runs; I never feel the need to rip them off my feet after a long run. I run on really muddy trails, too, and I never have any traction issues. I will say the lace garage is annoying, but I got used to it after a few weeks. The laces stay put so well after you put them on, so it's not like you'll need to fiddle with them once they're on your feet. I have noticed the popping sound on occasion, but it never lasts long for me. Finally, definitely needed a half-size down, and the toe box was still wide for me, which at first bothered me and took me some time to get used to, but now I LOVE it and feel like my toes have so much room. Great training shoe!

I like that the lugs are not super aggressive. They work great in hard packed dirt and also in sand. I did not have any issues getting the laces in the "garage"you just roll them up and tick them under the laces into the pocket. My arch length is longer than my foot length, meaning the widest part of my foot requires me to size up typically. In Brooks and Saucony, I consistently wear a 10. I bought the Pulsar Trail in a 10 and the Sense Ride in a 9.5.

I absolutely love these shoes except for one defect: the placement of the pocket on the tongue for the lacing pull. The opening for the pocket is caught underneath the laces making it impossible to tuck away the plastic pull for the laces. I've never had this problem with any of my other Salomon's. I make it work because I still love the fit of these shoes. Surprised by this over site as I've owned many Salomon shoes without this problem. I hope this is something the designers will think about in the next redesign.

I liked these when I first got them. However the pocket on the tongue goes under the laces so it's hard to tuck in the fastening once you have tightened the laces. I think this is because the tongue is a bit shorter than previous I have had. Also it seems the inside lining is quite thin, after only having them for a short time it's wearing through by the toes. My previous Salomons I have had Seem to have been better wearing and I don't think these will last as long.

I'm usually between an 8 and an 8.5 and this particular 8.5 was too long. They looked great, though, and I think the heel padding would have been comfortable if they'd fit.

Familiar Salomon fit, roomier than speedcross but same size appropriate; love the speed laces; this model feels less cushioned than prior sense rides and packs out quickly 250-300 miles. Would love to see a bit more responsiveness like in prior models.

I ordered my regular size 9 but received a 9 wide. They are not only too wide but fit more like a 9.5

My third Sense Ride's. This version makes an annoying noise on every step; otherwise they are as comfortable as the previous version.

I bought these a month ago and have worn them every day since! They are so comfortable and light! Perfect shoes for hiking and the grip is great on all trails. However, there seems to be a "popping" noise when walking- hope this goes away with time. I am disappointed in how quickly the ribbon on the tongue rips and it's very hard to put the laces and buckle in the lace garage as they tie over top of it, but overall amazing shoes.

They were a bit too big, but I do usually wear a 10B. The color was too powder blue for me.

Not as comfy as Merrell and Keen for me, but close & well made. Love the bungees, will not go back to laces. Returned only because I didn't care for the real-life color, more raw beef than brick.
I'd also recommend:
Keen, Merrell

I really like the balance of stability and flexibility in this shoe. Unfortunately it's about a half size too big for me and with a thinner, more comfortable tongue, they're too roomy. If I had sized down, I think this would be my second favorite pair of Salomon trail shoe!

This shoe feels smooth and stable on the trails! The fit is comfortable and even though it is not available in wide, I found there to be enough give in the toe box making for a nice ride throughout the run.

This shoe is a great all around shoe that can handle anything from running out the door on roads to varied conditions on the trails. The quick lace system, senifit and heel hold keep your foot in place with no pressure points. The weight of the shoe is light enough to feel nimble, but there is ample stability and cushion. The Sense 4's are my daily go to shoe because they provide both comfort and confidence which allows for miles and miles of issue free running.

I was converted to the comfort and versatility of the Sense Ride with the 3s, and I have been loving the 4s (once I got the size right). They have great traction on slick or technical terrain, but work great if you're mixing road with trail. They are comfortable wear during my long runs, with plenty of space for my toes. As mentioned, they run large, and I had to size down a 1/2 size from what I normally wear running.
