If you are looking for something with slightly more coverage on the back up by the neck than the PFG Freezer Maxi dress and slightly shorter as well, this dress is it. It is super comfortable and the twist design up hear the shoulders is a nice touch. It is light and cool, wicking moisture away quickly and keeping you dry and happy. A great alternative to shorts and the length gives extra protection against bugs!

The cut of this dress is perfect and I like the thicker straps. I do wish the material had a bit more weight, so it would drape better. It's a little clingy. Also, there is a lining on the inside, only around the neck area, that bunches up on me. Overall, nice lightweight wicking dress for travel or beach. Easy to wash. Dries quickly.

The dress is made with quality fabric that isn't see-thru. I didn't like the fit on me with splits on each side. The length is good with great coverage.

This dress is lovely however I should have ordered a smaller size. No pockets. I ordered aqua that looked like turquoise on line but arrived green.

I love this dress so much! It's comfy and I did all the things in it while visiting the Colorado Rockies. Two things that brought it to a 4: there's a fabric lining thing at the front under the neckline that isn't attached all the way around. It moves around and gives a strange visual of almost a bib line under the dress. I may just remove it. I also really wish it had pockets like most Columbia dresses do.

put it on right out of the mailbox. the bust area lining either needs elastic to hold it in place, or it needs to extend farther down the front of the dress. it cuts horizontally across my bustling in a very unflattering way. otherwise it's great! black, xl

I bought this in a large in black. The dress is cool and fits nicely but the fabric is SHEER. Also there's some strange little flap on the inside of the top. The bottom of it falls in the middle of my bust line so you can see them hem through the dress. If it's for modesty, maybe a longer flap in the larger sizes would work better for bustier folks.

I bought this dress on a whim pre-pandemic and haven't worn it until recently. I am 5'4, between size 2-4 and SMALL fits comfortably loose and flowy, like shown on the models. The material feels light and soft, and it does not cling to my skin, even in hot & humid days in NYC. I really liked that it does not irritate my eczema prone, sensitive skin. Washes well and dries fast, so I can wear this multiple times a week. The black one I selected looks oddly formal from the waist up but I like it enough that I might buy another one as a backup. I'd happily purchase more if this style comes in different colors like dark red, navy, olive green or white!

I am not giving this the full 5 stars as the color of the dress was darker when arrived. I do like the dress, cooling and protects me from the sun, a good fit and did follow advice to size down. Why don't you have long sleeves version?

Do not size down! I'm 145lbs & purchased a medium because even the website said size down. Dress is very clingy & shows every line & bump. Can't replace as large is sold out. Will have to return this amazing dress.

This is a pretty color and style. The material is a thin stretchy material. Being that I am not young and trim I may use it for a swimsuit coverup or a nightgown. But it is very pretty.

It's fine. I think it runs a little small. Fabric reminds me of swim suit material. Columbia will hassle you daily to write a review, which I feel is disrespectful and harassment.

Really like the material for breathability and the pink color is beautiful. Reviews said to size down so I went with a XS. My normal size is S. It is a bit clingy in the stomach and hip area. Might have been better with a S. If you carry weight in this area do NOT size down. Go with your regular size.

This dress is true to size. I am 5'4 and wear XS. I have this dress in black and the blue/black print. I like the hot pink color but would prefer if it was a print. The printed fabric feels slightly thicker and it is more forgiving. This dress style is comfortable, attractive and cool in very hot weather. I definitely will purchase again if becomes available in a print I like.

I'm not straight skinny so it doesn't look like it does on the model, but it's really comfy on a hot day.

Nice dress but the XS is not small enough and the cut is not quite right. I have other models of Columbia dresses that are perfect and right on the dot, but sadly not this one. I luckily found a person who could wear it and gave it away.

I liked the Chill River Midi dress in the photos online, but in reality the texture and workmanship were not quite right. I ordered the Safari color in size Small. For reference I am 126 lbs, 5'6'. I liked the color very much, and the dress technically fit me fine, but the fabric was way too flimsy and did not drape well. I was attracted to the lower neck line and the detail on the straps, but the back of the dress gaped at the neck in the back, and in shifted in the front. The fabric was such that every irregularity showedpanty line, bra, etc, even though the dress was not too tight. I would suggest using a heavier fabric for this style. Had to regretfully return.

Too skimpy to wear out. A bra won't work under it, and the fabric is so thin that everything shows through. It's soft and beautiful, though. It's making a LOVELY sexy nightgown. The color is lovely.

The description says body skimming which it definitely is not. Very baggy in the torso even in XS. I am challenged to find fitted clothing as I am 5'9" 135 lbs, athletic build. I kept it and altered it because the material is super soft and lightweight, the neckline is flattering while still being able to wear a bra and I love the side slits.

It was fair - comfy but nothing to write home about - material a little thin - not well made. I feel like a lot of clothing companies have really gone down hill in quality. This was an example
