I hope this style will be made in 'wide' in the future. The heel cup seems a bit lower than my last Hokas. There wasn't any break in period or foot fatigue and I'm very satisfied. Great light trail/light work shoe. Exactly what I expected.

The width is perfect, compared to my other shoes from various brands but a bit longer. So I have a bit of trouble with my right foot which is a bit shorter than the left. It's very comfortable and help a lot during hiking. If it offer a wide version, I'll go for 8.5 wide.

I wear this shoe everyday. I can say that it is very comfortable , almost like wearing slippers. Did a 4 mile hike in the mountains this past weekend. There we alot of steep rocky stretches and I felt no rocks on the bottom of my foot like I did with my former hiking shoe. Only drawback was small pebbles and sand needed to be dumped occasionally. Considering the new Anacapa for my next shoe.

I have seen a lots of review until I actually put a pair on my feet to feel it. In general it is what exactly I'm looking for, functionally with all weather and low profile. The only downside is that the online shop does not offer international delivery which I need to send to my purchase to my sister home in SF before she helped to send it over. It will be great if this can improve

So far after a couple of small hikes, I like the Hoka Kana Low. Good traction and responsive. If they came in a Wide, I would give the fifth star.

I really love the shoes. I was expecting them to be a bit "cushier" but they are by far more cushioned than most shoes. Perhaps a foam that gives a bit more would make them perfect. I really do like them though.

I have been very happy with ALL my purchases up to this p[oint but these shoes are way to stiff and have very little cushion on you feet, would not recommend at all. very uncomfortable compared to the other hiking shoes I have bought from your site.

I usually wear a 12 in boots. With HOKA I have to wear 12.5 with thin dress socks for the office or I order a 13 for my regular thick all year wool socks. T hese boots have excellent support and I wear them all day. My problem is that with the low ankle cut of this boot my foot does not have the extra strapping. Because I need to get a 13, I have some heel clap. But I am dealing with it bc the boot is otherwise excellent and keeps me out of pain.

I was expecting a well cushioned and relatively light weight shoe (I knew it was a heavier product)...somewhat like my previous HOKA purchases. This shoe does not have a great cushion and is far heavier than I expected. I'll have to use it as my coaching shoe because I can't see myself wearing it on a daily basis.

I like to have light nimble feet when I run on a trail. I usually use regular running shoes but tons of dust get inside. I bought these so that less dust would get into my shoes. They work for that. These shoes are nice, and good for rainy days, but I don't know that I would run in them. They feel a little large ungainly for my taste. I bought them larger like a high mileage running shoe and because Hoka runs very narrow and there was no wide option.

The shoes were much too wide while the correct length. Besides that, the waterproof construction gave the uppers an overly stiff feel that problematic wouldn't be comfortable for me wearing medium weight hiking socks.

I have four other Hokas, all size 9 1/2. This most recent purchase, also a size 9 1/2, fits smaller than the others. Very disappointed in the fit.

They're heavy shoes, but I don't mind that as much as I mind how uncomfortable they have been on the bottom of my feet. I purchased new Insoles and that has helped a bit.

I tried the high top version of these on in a store and they had amazing cushion. I wanted the low cut but they didn’t have them so I ordered a pair from Zappos. The low cut were not anywhere as cushioning as the high top. I returned the shoes and ordered Salomon Cross Speed 5. The Hokas didn’t come in women’s12 so I had to get mens. They were black and pretty ugly. The Salomons came in women’s 12, were a nice blue color, have great tread and are super comfortable. Sorry Hoka, you got beat out by Salomon in this product category.

If you are looking for a waterproof hiking shoe, then this shoe will check that box. As to weight and comfort, the shoe is heavy, clunky, and much stiffer than expected. Is a lightweight waterproof running/trail shoe too much to ask?

I have the Kaha Gore-Tex mid in the same size and it is a first rate shoe, no problems at all. But the Kaha Gore-Tex low is a different case in the width and the lack of cushioning in tongue especially at the top (lacing up is going to hurt if you lace tight to avoid foot shifting on steeper descents). The width is so narrow that I had to trim the width of my Super-feet inserts to fit. I wore this shoe off and on for 4 weeks and they were super in so many ways (grip, look, stability, etc.); I really gave them a try. But my feet blistering on the instep after a 10-miler was the last straw. So back they go. Make them wider please!

This is a follow up to my initial review. The shoes have broken in a little over a couple of weeks of wear, but they still are not very comfortable. I'm having a hard time pinning down the issue, but it seems to be with the gore-tex liner construction. The outer edges of the shoe are very stiff and have unusual pressure points, which are causing my feet to go numb. I've since replaced the footbeds in an effort to try and get these to work because they have all the features I'm looking for in a hiking shoe, but I'm still undecided on whether I will keep them.

This is everything I was looking for in a hiking shoe that I've been unable to find elsewhere... a durable upper, vibram soles, gore-tex liner, and maximum cushion. So, of course, I pre-ordered these when they were announced. I don't have particularly wide feet, but the forefoot on these is too narrow, and my feet started going numb after a short walk around the neighborhood. I also found the heal to rub slightly. I'll try and dial in the lacing around the heal and forefoot to improve the fit and minimize the rubbing issues. Maybe they'll break in, but if not, I'll likely be returning them within the 60-day guarantee period. If wider options become available, I would reconsider, but sadly, my search for the perfect hiking shoe continues.
