Much narrower and tighter than other running shoes of the same size, so were returned as I'm not sure going up another half a size would have helped much with width but made them significantly too long.

The fit is good, the shoes are comfortable, although they are a bit stiffer than im used to. These shoes do feel very light and responsive. ive only had a couple of runs in the shoes, so maybe they loosen up as i put in miles. I'll do a second review after 50 mile or so in the shoes.

Great looking shoe. Light, has good bounce when running. Only issue (which is not a shoe problem, but important to be aware of) is that this show runs a bit small. I wear verified 10.5 size in other brands (OnCloud, Patagonia, Cole Haan) I order a size 11 shoe and yet it was still a bit small pressing on first two toes. Should have gotten a size 11.5. It's a hassle to pack up and return so just kept it for non running activity like walks or grocery runs.

I lvoe everythign about this shoe but the tongue. The lack of padding causes the laces to dig into your foot causing pain. It is ok through 25k but after that the pain is really bad. A touch of padding would go a long way to make this shoe amazing!

Really nice light weight running shoes. Could use more padding.

These are the first carbon plate shoes I've ever used and they're incredible. I've put about 120 miles on them so far. Light, comfortable and just flat-out fun to run in. My only complaint is the EVA foam on the sole. They've already worn down in the upper sole and heel. I don't think I'll get 200+ miles out of these but I still like them even though they're a tad pricey. Maybe wait for a sale. I hope future models consider rubber on the soles, just my personal preference.

I have worn the carbon X in women's before 8 1/2 before. The fabric was softer and the shoe fit wider. Maybe because it was a wide shoe.
These feel tight through the toes. My feet feel tired at the end of the day. My feet never felt tired in my other Carbon X shoes. They did however get a hole in the toe area from my big toe.
I wear these everyday.

This is my 4th pair of Hoka's and my first pair of carbon plated running shoes. I am enjoying the shoes, the feel is much more firm than my Clifton 8's which are my daily trainers. The size feels a little small but that hasn't really been an issue. My next pair will be a 9 1/2 rather than the 9's I purchased this time.

With all the foot issues I have, I wish they would make these shoes in wider sizes and deeper to fit custom orthotics! They are true to size but are very narrow. They have no arch support so I recommend you insert one with some support. I love the motion of this shoe! It alleviated the pain I always feel in the metatarsal area of my foot. For the first time in years, I was able to take a 15 minute walk; however, I used an OTC orthotic which was too rigid and my feet were burning the following day. These shoes will not accommodate a custom orthotic. Can't find one that will. Love this shoe though but had to send it back.

This is my first pair of Hoka's. Very comfortable and so light! It does seems to put your foot a little in a "canoe" position where the foot slightly arches in the front and back. So far, so good!

It's was too small....i like everything about the shoe but that. I should have went with a wide versus medium but you guys gave me an easy quick way to print out the return label?

These are my first carbon-plated shoes, so my experience might be lacking amongst others. I really enjoyed these shoes when I was pushing the pace more, which for me is around 8:30-9:15. At slower paces warming up before speed sessions they're a bit of a calf-killer, but that feeling goes away after a mile-and-a-half or so. The midsole is firm but soft and stable at the same time, if that makes sense. My knees and feet definitely felt really good when I ran my long runs in these. The transitions from landing to toe-off are smooth as all get out, and I can say my best runs in them so far have all been long runs with some race pace (8:30 - 9:15) miles at the end. I haven't put a ton of training miles on them yet but I recently crossed the 50 mile mark and the rubberized EVA outsole doesn't look bad at all. And the Blue Flower/Luminary Green colorway looks pretty good on my feet. I'm looking forward to my first half marathon in my Carbon X2s.

They are just a tad too big. An 11 as opposed to 11 1/2 would probably have been a better fit. Otherwise, they are outstanding shoes.

I wanted to like these more than I did - they were comfortable enough but they have a much more narrow heal strike than say the Graviota - about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch more narrow (this is the base of the shoe, not the fit). With the cushioning and my less than ideal ankles, they weren't as stable as I'd like them. I like a shoe with a wider toe box, and although these appear to be more narrow than the Graviota, and Stinson 4, I was comfortable in them. A nice shoe, just not for me.

Put on my new Carbon X2 hokas for a light run as the sun was setting and once I hit my goal of 6 miles I felt amazing and kept going using the full moon as my energy. By the end of my run I was just past 14 miles total. These shoes are light and responsive like a track shoe and have lots of cushion and stability like a trainer. I'm going to throw some speed laces on them however other than that they seem to be perfect after 2 weeks of long running.
