These shoes are the best approach shoes I've had for a long time. They fit true to size and are quite comfortable.I am prone to blisters and I had no trouble breaking these in. Most importantly though, they stick to absolutely everything, making them amazing for rocky, steep, or crumbly approaches. They even passed the wet log test!

I never realized the value in approach shoes until I purchased these (as a requirement for a course I was taking). Normally I'd opt for my gortex trail runners but after a year wearing these in all types of terrain and wet limestone, I couldn't go without them! They're quite ridged which makes them nice on easy to approach cracks. Some of the mesh near the outer foot has seen better days because of this but they're still holding up well. I normally wear a 7.5 and the 7 1/4 fit perfectly.

I have been wearing these shoes for a year and they still look great and are very stable.

I bought these to use regularly (about 50 times per year) as approach shoes. I have narrower feet, and the lacing system fits them very well. They're great for the hike up, even with a heavy pack, and for scrambling. The sole balances structure and support with being thin and flexible enough to use for scrambling and easy climbing. I've had them for a few years and they're still in great shape, but I might have to either resole or get another pair. Love these!

Tested these for the first time this weekend- after 18 miles/7k elevation gain, most of it backpacking and a class 3 peakthey performed awesome and my feet felt surprisingly good (not as comfortable as trail runners but pretty close!). It downpoured/hailed as I was coming down from the peak so I ran on mostly boulders/talus for a few miles to escape the lightning and the grip on wet rock was incredible! Also, the neon green/white kept the color well, even through muddy puddles/rain. I found the shoe to be true to size (even though other reviewers said it was large).

I had been wearing the Konseal and loving the shoe as it is so comfortable and stylish. I was hoping Arc'teryx would do it in black so I could wear it in a more urban situation. Happy they did. Looks great with my Veilance pieces.

Best approach shoes. The fit is great but I went a half size down from my regular shoes as they fit a bit big for technical terrain. Comfy, grippy soles I love them.

I bought the leather version of this shoe and have hiked over 150km with them so far. Super comfortable and supportive. Excellent grip on all types of surfaces. They also look great, even if you step into a restaurant afterwards. My only complaint is the sizing: I usually wear size 38EU, I had to size down to 37 1/3EU, and I still need to wear thicker hiking socks. They're slightly too big if I wear thin socks. I have narrow feet and these fit great.

I'll be honest, I'm wearing these shoes more as an everyday than a climbing shoe, and they're great. I've had so many people compliment them and ask for the brand. So much more streamlined than most athletic shoes. The arch is perfect for me, as I tend to pronate, and wearing these out and about helps greatly with foot pain. Plus, did I m mention they look great?

Esteticamente molto belle, comode e leggere, preannunciano l'arrivo della bella stagione! Calzano pi grande della misura indicata. Il mio piede misura 25 cm e ho dovuto prendere la taglia 5, per cm 23,5

Really beautiful nicely made shoes but did not fit my toes well. On many sites they say these shoes run big but I did not find this to be the case. They seemed a bit narrow.

The material is smooth and slick making for a very fashionable technical shoe. Great traction for hiking and approaching climbs. The performance is spot on and after a big day out I still desire to wear the shoe to dinner, it's that comfortable!

These are really nice and lightweight shoes and can be used for everyday as well as light hiking. However, I do wish they had some cushioning for extra comfort. Since they are GTX, these were a good everyday shoe during Canadian winters with lighter snowfall.

Good looking design. Nice to wear in rainy days.just wish it is cushioned which is better for knees. And I really love the KONSEAL FL 2 LEATHER GTX SHOE MEN'S (silk/black) colour. Can you make this colour for women as well?

The things that attracted me included the defined heel instead of a continuous thick sole, but this turned out to be the downside, as (I found from the Q&A on the Arcteryx website) it has a 12 mm drop from heel to toe- too high for me, plus this is a hard shoe with not much shock absorption. The fit is good for my narrow foot, with wide enough toebox; it is long- usual size 9.5, but this is a little long, and the heel is a little wide so my heel slips up and down. It easily accommodated my orthotic. Really wanted this to work!

I really liked this shoe design. I agree with others that it is a 1/2 size bigger than expected. I found it had a lot of toe box room and a decent heel cup. I didn't find they worked for me, however, as I need to I insert an orthotic. With my high arches the lacing couldn't be let out enough to accommodate the orthotic and the heel cup slipped a bit more than I'd like. If you are using the inserts provided by arcteryx this probably wouldn't be an issue.

After reading many reviews I ordered a full size smaller -8 than my usual 9. Width and length are good in the 8. Another pair of Arc'teryx shoes I purchased were also similarly sized larger.

I love everything Arcteryx and I love these shoes. The fit is perfect. But a year later--in white--the shoe has really yellowed. Especially on the fabric where the tongue of the shoe is and the rubber on the sole. Very disappointing.
