My sisters and I wore these sandals back in the 1970's and 1980's. I have looked for years for these and could not find them. The design of these shoes have changed. The toe bar is not included in the current style. The heel of the shoe is not as concaved as the "real" original. The strap is off. It seems that it has been moved forward, toward the top of the ties. In the "real" original ones, the strap was at least an inch back nearer the arch. I will keep these and give them a chance. I just hope I have not thrown away my money on these. Please bring back the "real" original design. Keep this design if you must, but go back to what made these shoes popular in the first place.

I went to order a new pair and 11 is the biggest size. I need 11.5 . The toe bar is gone so I went to the drafting board. Mechanical drafting in school paid off all I'm using is the top strap .

I had the wooden Dr. Scholls "exercise" sandles back in the 1980s. The foot bed was much more contoured back then with a much more pronounced hump between the ball and the toes which helped your toes to grip the shoe with each step making the shoe both more comfortable and easier to keep in place on the foot during the forward stride. These are not as pronounced and not much of grip for the toes. Please bring back the Vintgage original style from the 70' and 80's and the Blue is not the original Navy blue.

Definitely not red. More of a faded pink/orange in color. Disappointed to say the least. I gave this shoe 2 stars because , though I love the shoe , part of it was the color. I have bought the rubber soled red Dr Scholls in the past and it was a bright red, so after buying this wooden soled shoe which is more expensive, I thought the color would be the same. IT IS NOT.

I ordered the red Original sandals. I was excited to revisit my childhood when I wore out a blue pair. The color of the sandals is misrepresented. Instead of red, the sandals are orange, nowhere near red. Very disappointed and will be returning them.

The old style had a more definite dip near the toes and a larger rounded ball to grip. I almost fell down the stairs trying them on . Not the same as the original. I felt very unsteady walking in them . I am returning.

I was so excited when these shoes returned I wore them many years ago and loved them. I ordered a size 9 1/2 and apparently they don't come in size 9 1/2 even though that size was listed, they sent a size 10 and they are too long. The first time I wore them four brads came out of the holes but I had already wore them so did not return them.

My Over All review of these Sandals are low, they Are NOT the Original as stated, doesn't have the toe indentation as the Originals, Nor does it have the Original Buckle. I would NOT refer my friends to this sandal, overpriced for what you receive.

These shoes are NOT the same as the original ones. I know. I wore the original ones for over 40 years--until Dr. Scholl's went exclusively to synthetic soles. The "insole" of this wooden version is flatter, with less arch support, than the original ones, and the leather piece is wider, sticking into and causing blisters on the top of my big toe. Was great to see the wooden soles, but unfortunately not the old pattern.

Loved the concept but were not like the originals, straps to close to the top so I am returning. I still love and wear the originals.

They are missing a key component on the shoe to make them the "originals" they are missing the wooden bump in the toe area. That bump is what you gripped with your toes to walk and it was a great leg exercise at the same time.

I never review products but had to because these are awful! I was so excited for them but they're so uncomfortable even after breaking them in for 2 weeks. The strap is either too lose or too tight. The wood is SO slippery they don't stay on my feet. And they are very heavy (you can hear them a mile away). So disappointed.

Why would the bump under the toes and the original design ever changed? I can't wear these at all because I cannot keep them on my feet! So disappointing the original design was changed.

I tried to buy the classic red color and got orange. And what happened to the toe bump? Without that they are hard to stay on. Your toes fall towards the front.

Bought these at the beginning of the summer. I was so excited to have this iconic pair of sandals again. However, I was very disappointed. I should've sent them back, but I thought I could get used to them. These shoes no longer have raised toe bump tgat you gripped to keep the sandals on your feet. Very difficult to keep these on. I regret not returning them.

They are not the original. The toe grips are not there and that makes them very hard to walk in. They are also very hard to adjust. You need to use pliers to adjust them.

I wanted to have this shoes so bad I ordered two times and both times they sent me the wrong sandal for some reason the shoes they were sending me they it have a silver buckle , not what I wanted. And the crazy part if I call and place an order they telling me they can't guarantee I can get that shoe. Please somebody explain that to me that is what you guys have on your website that's what I would love to received a sandal with a Gold buckle.

I had a pair of Dr Scholl sandals in the 2000's that I wore constantly for a long time until they fell apart. They were my favorite sandals and I loved them. They had a bump for my toes to grip, the whole footbed was slightly recessed, the faux wood material was slightly grainy, and the sandals weren't very heavy. These are much heavier, the footbed is almost completely uncontoured and very smooth. They are very slippery and difficult to keep on my feet, and I've actually hurt myself wearing them. On a forward step, sometimes the sandal kicks halfway off and then I step on the back edge of the sandal as I put my foot down. Ouch. I've owned these for a year and barely worn them, and then only to work, since I don't have to walk much there. They are pretty, but too uncomfortable to wear. Like my previous pair, I ordered a 7 for my 7.5 feet and the length is perfect.
