It took a few days to fully break in but that is not bad. Half size down was perfect for me. They are warm but don’t make my feet too hot. Excellent for hiking with excellent ankle support which I need. Insoles are top notch, very comfy. The style is versatile and I’ve gotten compliments every time out which hasn’t been many but still they look great with most pants/outfits. The design and overall quality is excellent and lives up to Danner reputation. Highly recommended fir the price.

I have a bunion, sensitive feet, and work in construction on my feet all day.

These boots are exactly what I planned on getting. No surprises at all. In fact, I am surprised at some of the other more negative comments. This is my third pair of Danner boots and I trust their quality of materials as well as their craftsmanship. These are light and super comfortable and I have zero doubts about the toughness of the leather uppers. I'll keep buying Danner. A truly great American Company.

Finding a good pair of boots is typically hard for me. But these are excellent. They are sturdy, but they aren't stiff or heavy. I have worn them in the snow and for long periods of indoor/outdoor walking. The red laces give them an extra touch of style and they look good with jeans, either laced up tight or loose. I've worn them almost every day in the month I've had them.

Let's cut to the chase, these are not boots. They do, however, have some boot DNA in them, like the price. They are a cross between a tennis shoe and a hiking shoe. But they are COMFORTABLE. Light and airy, with great Vibram soles for traction. Just about zero break-in time. Great for any surface, indoors or out. Would I go on a serious hike with them? No. Would I hunt in them? No. Would these be my first choice for my zombie bug-out kit? Again, no. Would I wear them to my locally-owned coffee shop for a nice, warm latte on a cold November morn in Colorado? You betcha. If you are looking for some serious boots, look at the Red Wing Heritage collection. Those are some serious boots. Danner calls these "Logger Boots", maybe a logger would use these to sleep in, but that's about it. Happy hiking.

I chose the danner boot primarily due to its product reputation. The boot looks good, fits very well (I have a narrow foot and purchased the "medium") but I have one complaint. My socks get stained from the ankle to the top of the boot. The lower portion of the sock was not stained. I have worn the boots several times since I purchased them, and thus several pairs of socks now appear to be permanently stained. I suspect the water-proofing material stops at the ankle height and the upper lining material is the cause of the problem

I was disappointed with the quality of these boots considering what they cost. Danner generally makes great sturdy boots, but these were not those things. They're very expensive and the workmanship did not match the price. They arrived somewhat misshaped and did not give a lot of confidence of longevity. I returned them and would not recommend them. There are better options for the money.
