My husband is a broad guy and had to size up.

I use this vest as a secondary layer while teaching skiing. This thing is very warm and pretty comfortable. Sizing I am 5'10" weigh 170, wear a 40 regular in a suit coat. I bought a medium and would like if it fit a little tighter. That being said the quality is excellent.

Love this vest! It is light weight and sleek. It is not the warmest vest I own but is great for layering and wearing over a collared shirt,

Fantastic vest. Keeps chest nice and warm, very comfy to wear. The soft shell texture is great. the only thing left desirable is probably a better, slimmer fit.

I'd give it 5 stars but, it is really stiff right out of the package. Like someone starched it. Even after washing it is still a little stiff. Not as warm as I was expecting. Quality, fit and finish are all there. In other words, really well made. Overall I am not sure I like or dislike it. I'll wear along or under a jacket.

Fits snug, better then most loose "standard fit" vests that don't hug the core

My guy asked for this as a gift and was happy with it. Ordered a medium and it fit as expected. He generally wears a medium in tops. I did notice that the vest fabric is much stiffer than I expected and the 'collar' area stands up around the face and head. He was okay with it, but for a review I would like to pass on that based on the product description and picture figured the fabric was more flexible and would be able to fold back when not zipped around face, and that is not the case. Just an FYI for others looking at this vest. It is not insulated, definitely more for wind protection.

This product matches well, and is easy to use for a night out or when outdoors. Very versatile.

A great vest that you can dress up or down.

I work outside managing a ranch and sometime are in the saddle all day working cows and really like the flexibility of the wind wall vest. It blocks the wind good and keeps my core warm.

Great in windy, chilly weather. I was not expecting such a hard finish on the outside. but have come to like it. I would recommend but advise about the hard finish on the exterior- it is not polartec/ fleece.

Wear the vest over hoodies for added warmth

I like the vest for colder weather and I work in a vest outdoors most of the time. The vest is stiffer then the Apex Canyonwall vest. It would probably break in well after using for some time. I was disappointed in the North Face log not being stitched in as in the Canyonwall vest, so I reverted back to the Canyonwall and gave away the vest. That is not to take away anything from the overall quality and longevity of the vest. Just a personal preference.

Casual wear around town, not restrictive, looks nice. Not too heavy.

It is too big and we have been trying to return it or find a retailer that has one in a smaller size but all keep showing unavailable. It is the expected The North Face quality - I just need to find a smaller size.

I just purchased this about two weeks ago and have had a hard time not wearing this. My wife is starting to make fun of me for wearing this so much. I am an executive and wear the vest with my tie instead of suit jacket.

Great vest but the zippers are failing. And they are too tiny... or refined or I'm not sure how to describe. I have been born and raised in back country clothing and these zippers are not meant to be rugged. Otherwise, this vest is nice.

Great vest, versatile for multiple weather conditions and very fashionable. Wore on a late Fall trip in Europe was both complimentary to multiple styles of dress and weather conditions. Doesn't have an internal pocket but not really an issue, includes three pockets with zippers - so happy with the purchase.

Wear it alone or combine with other clothes to give you extra warmth with minimal weight.

Carry in case Seattle weather becomes cool. Holds my phone, charger, keys etc.

I own three of these vests and wear one almost daily. They work for me and are very comfortable. They are not very breathable so summer wear is not the best fit, but they work great in the micro-climates of northern CA. There is a variance in size between the styles which required me to send back a couple of orders. I have all XL's and my most recent order is almost two inches longer than my previous two XL purchases. I had ordered another Bionic vest in 2016 and it was significantly larger than the other XL's I had purchased.
