For the most part, I like this base layer. I thought the color would be a pretty cream, but it's sort of a "dirty cream" which was disappointing. Also, this fabric seems a tad thinner than the gray one I bought 3 years ago and is also slimmer in the body. (I haven't gotten fatter - I still have the gray one and wear it too.). My gray one has held up beautifully through many washings (cold water, lay flat to dry). I really think you need to work on your colors - they are not very pretty.....

I am a longtime SmartWool fan. However, the new neckline style and shoulder size of the 1/4 zip base layer is not flattering, much too loose and therefore not as effective in keeping you warm. The body and arms are baggy and oversize. The old style neckline and shoulders was fitted closer to the neck, and functioned very well, in addition to being extremely stylish. The new neckline, as can be clearly seen on the models for the tops, is very loose, does not insulate your neck, bunches/flops around under jacket/hood areas, and is completely unattractive. I would literally wear ONLY this top in winter if it was better designed. It is perhaps time to offer a plus-size version of this top as well as the traditional normal version.

Can't figure out why you are sold out of many colourful products like this one ( I wanted another colour as well ), so early in the winter season. 1/4 zip ladies pullover

Love the design and the long sleeves are quite long, which I appreciate. Love the reinforced collar and zip pulls nicely. I wear size 12 to 14 tops and ordered the XL to have more room. It fits snug over a thin t-shirt and has a little bit of give. Would exchange for a larger size but XXL not available. It's thinner than I expected but it has a tight weave. Bought it for kayaking in Alaska, and appreciate the length to keep my lower back covered. Haven't washed or worn it yet.

I gave this only four stars simply because the other shirts I wife are five star (hoodie and crew neck) but I don't like this as much. Also it ran smaller.

Love the feel and warmth of these base layers. It's nice to have it go up over the neck when needed with the 1/4 zip. Really DO NOT like contrasting zipper pulls and seam tape. Really detracts from overall classy look. I will not buy anymore of this style for that reason until Smartwool figure it out and matches the colors of the zipper pulls and seam tape to the color of the fabric.

Warm, not sure how durable. Softness accentuated by fabric softener, I use sheets. Blue spruce a dim color, I thought it was aqua or turquoise, to "blue sprice" accurately describes the color, which wasn't what I wanted.. I bought the pink as a gift for my daughter; she felt it was too scratchy and returned i I find it/them finem but I do use the sheets in the dryer. Also they are expensive

Very comfortable and warm. Excellent base layer. The black tends to attract lint, so should be washed and dried separately.

I have this merino half zip in four colors. They are great for travel in the fall when faced with 55 to 60 degree weather; light weight for easy packing.

Love the blue color! Looking forward to wearing it lots in the fall and winter. The sizing was interesting on this one. I'd previously bought a grey thermal base at a local store in a medium and it fit perfectly. So was surprised when this one fit a little tighter. Not by much, though. I plan to wash and stretch gently before it dries and it should be fine. Next time I will probably order in a large. I am 5'3", 140 lbs and larges seem to work the best for me (in the thermal base layer). #sweepstakes

Cat enjoys chewing smartwool fabrics too much - he put holes in this product before I was able to wear it. High quality and attractive product.

Comfortable, but no thumb holes. I'm 5'5" 150# and bought a medium. Nice red/brown color, good weight, nice length. I don't love the white zipper pull it shows up weird in zoom meetings. Wish it was black. #sweepstakes

I love this top. It's just the right thickness. The fit is good. My only complaint is that it's just a little itchy on my neck.

Very warm! I am giving it a 4 star instead of a 5 star review since its really long on me and pretty big for a small. I would size down

# sweepstakes I wear these for every day use and also for my base layer when I ski. They are a great insulator from the cold but wick the moisture and keep me dry and happy.

We'll made, flattering cut, comfortable top and true to size. 5'6" 140 athletic build and M fit nicely without being snug. I wish the zipper pull was red to match the shirt, not white. The white stands out too much and looks like a plastic zipper cover that should be removed.

I love the new color selection and the back body seam that wraps to the front; however, I miss the seaming that extended from the shoulders up the neck that provided added design and structure, as the neck on the current version tends to flop. The current version is also a slightly looser cut than previously offered and is not as form fitting as I would like a base layer to be....you may want to size down. I wish smartwool would bring back a full turtleneck without the 1/4 zip option.

I wear this 1/4 zip base layer under my vest with my leggings and a scarf when we go out. I also wear it when I walk in the mornings. Or bike riding. They are a perfect weight for later in the fall and winter here in the PNW! The sleeves are too long and I have to fold them back a couple of times
