I live in south California, finally walked in the rain. It's not waterproof, not a bit.

These are great hiking trail shoes- very comfortable and slip resistant as well as lightweight. I can wear these all day no problem!

I wanted a waterproof shoe that had a little less structure than a hiking shoe. These are so comfortable, with just the right amount of cushion. They feel like a sneaker/running shoe which is exactly what I was looking for. I have worn them in wet conditions and my feet have stayed dry. They are a regular cut shoe so water can get in through the top. They also come in a mid height. Style-wise they are pretty basic but that’s okay with me. I am 8.5 in shoes, and always go up to at least 9 in athletic footwear. These fit perfectly in 9.
I'd also recommend:

These are very comfortable shoes that I walk approx 3 miles in every day. They are not real easy to slip on and off, but I usually wear them all day anyway. Laces stay tied and the shoe is comfortable all day long.

I ordered 7&1/2, the size of shoe I wear and have always worn forever and ever ... and sad to say, I had to exchange for a larger size. Awaiting the size 8. The quality of the shoe seems very good - although I can tell I will need insoles since I have a high arch.

I've had these for a couple of weeks now and they are working well for the spring thaw! I've worn them on hikes, playing outside with my kids, and also running errands. They worked well for all of those situations! They're comfortable and water proof, which is exactly what I wanted!

Love the looks and comfort of this shoe. Had it in another color and have been extremely pleased with this item. Sizing was right on target too. Absolutely nothing negative about it!!!

I use these to walk outside with my dog in the mornings. They are indeed waterproof which is important to me because I hate it when my toes get wet inside my shoes before the walk is over. Also, they fit like a glove and they are comfortable.

Fit like a dream out of the box. Great value for a very stylish, comfortable, durable, & best of all lightweight hiking shoe. Comfortable enough to wear on the plane to Arizona where I spent a week hiking. A wide toebox made them perfect!

Exactly what I was looking for. A tennis shoe/hiking shoe that is waterproof! Fits as expected and great for walking or short hikes!

Very comfortable NOW, but I did get a bloody blister on the back of my foot, after wearing them for the first time. It only took 15 min of walking around the neighborhood to start feeling discomfort and pain. I was wearing socks of course, and didn't do anything different. I was so disappointed. The back of the shoe did seem very stiff when I first put them on. After wearing them for two weeks, however, with a band-aid on the back of my foot, they got much softer and are absolutely perfect now. The pair of Backpedal Outdry shoes I got last year did not cause any pain at all, that's why I thought I'd go with Columbia again this time. Very good shoes for walking overall, but need to wear a band-aid when wearing them for the first time to avoid a painful blister.

It runs a tiny bit smaller but it fit me well anyways. It's soft, I love the design, haven't tested for waterproofness yet. For some reason, the back of my left shoe is very very stiff and has caused a lot of pain and blisters and even made me bleed in less than just an hour of wearing them. I've tried taking breaks in intervals and wearing them out but couldn't overcome the pain, so I am taking a break from them for now. The right shoe is also a little stiff on the back but definitely not as much as the left one. I love Columbia's products and I really want to love these shoes but I think I just got a defected left shoe. If not this issue, I would definitely recommend them!

Slow shipping. The estimated receiving day was Feb 9th (the order was placed on Feb 5), but the order was shipped on Feb 10.
In the pictures the sneakers look a tone of tan/beige, in reality, they are a tone of gray. That is okay with me but I really wanted a tan tone sneaker. Is my fault because the model said 'Titanium"
I have walked 4 miles in two days with this product. There are a few things wrong with the design of these sneakers. They rub a lot at the heel, even when is the right size for me. The front of the sneaker, the mesh on top of the foot makes a crinkle sound, is like the material is made of some plastic. I dont think these are good shoes for hiking.

I wear a 8 1/2. And order the same size the shoes are tight and rub at the heel. I like the colors of the shoes but they run small

I have been using these shoes for months to hike. I thought maybe you just had to break them in. They are too small and I ordered a 10. They leave you with blisters and swollen feet. I thought I just had to break them in.

Almost comfortable, if I didn't have a left foot. Something on the edge of the tongue presses on the top of my foot painfully. The right shoe is perfect. Of course, I took the dog for a walk to discover this, so can't return them. Very disappointed. I guess I will have to take the scissors to that area and remove the fabric right there.

Everything was perfect but then I started walking and 18 mins later I had blisters because the back part is really stiff and I was very sad, the cushions and all was perfect! I think they can be the perfect shoes for people who have probably thin feet? I don't know but still I have to give credit to how amazing they were without that blister

These have a weird design where they cut into one's achille's tendon so, even if the shoe fits otherwise, they are very uncomfortable.

I wore them for 30 min and my heels were red and rubbed raw. I love the color and the fit but might have to return as I've never worn sneakers that did that before. There is also a crinkly sound in the heel area which gets annoying indoors.
