This knit fabric is terrible. I got Achilles tendonitis after running in the new Waveknit and I have been running without issues in the old Sky. I emailed Mizuno to ask a question about the construction of the shoe but they totally blew me off and never addressed my complaint. I will need to switch brands I guess, I'm not impressed.

I've done several runs in the Wave Sky Waveknit 4. The new version has significant cushioning that provides a soft, plush ride, but still feels responsive and surprisingly springy - even more so than the Sky 3. The Waveknit upper is both breathable and flexible, and my feet feel both supported and cradled inside the shoes. As compared to the Sky 3, the tongue is thinner but stays in place. The shoes are true to size as compared to other Mizuno models.
These shoes are definitely my new favorite for mid/long runs and recovery runs because of the soft yet bouncy feel. Since they are on the heavier side (9.4 oz for women), I probably wouldn't use them for speedwork sessions but love them as my "workhorse" shoes. Thank you Mizuno for continuing to improve the Wave Sky model!

I wanted so badly to keep the Wave Sky 4. I bought the original Wave Sky and they were the most comfortable shoes I ever wore. I have the Wave Sky 2 and the comfort level significantly dropped. I was excited for the Wave Sky 4 hearing the comfort level may be back but it was not. It felt similar to the 2. I had to return the Wave Sky 4 and go with Brooks. I hope Mizuno's go back to making comfortable shoes again. They were my favorite brand.

I was turned onto the Wave Sky 3 versions ago when , in my opinion, the Asics Nimbus lost their cushioning. If you don't like cushioning, then this shoe is not for you. I personally like the "walking in the clouds" feel when I'm walking but I know not every person does. I like how the Waveknit feels. I am a wide and felt like I had plenty of room. I hope they never change this shoe!

This Wave Sky definitely runs 1/2 size short. I always get a 7.5 in running shoes, but I ordered a size 8, which felt like my normal size. I returned them because of the weird fit. Maybe it's my foot shape, but as great as the features are, the feel just weird. I have a narrow heel but a wide forefoot. They felt strange all over. Definitely soft step, though.

I love Mizuno shoes -- but these just didn't fit. The right shoe, particularly, felt half a size too small. Great looking shoe, but had to return.
I'd also recommend:
Nike, Brooks

This shoe is the first neutral shoe I have been able to wear with my foot challenges. I am writing this with the hope it may help someone. I have flat, flexible feet , bunions and neuromas. I got cold laser therapy for the neuromas which helped alot. I need a stable shoe but my feet but my body does not like orthotics. I was hesitant about the 10mm drop as I usually don't like more than an 8mm drop but this shoe feels like an 8mm drop to me. It cradles your foot and provides heel support and just the right amount of cushioning. I ended up using a prokinetic insole, which provides just the right amount of lift for my arch. I am walking relatively pain free for the first time in 12 years, since a botched bunionectomy. A certified pedorthist recommended this shoe for me. I have thin, low volume feet and this shoe seems to be plenty wide. With the insoles in, it's fine. The only thing I would change is I'd like a padded tongue, It seems like a very well made shoe, too, compared to other companies.
I'd also recommend:
birkenstock sandals are the only other thing I can wear.

I love these shoes so much. I'm very particular about my shoes feeling light, yet supportive. They're perfect.

Size runs small. I had to exchange for a half size bigger, which is not my usual size. Even so, I am in love with this shoe! My first run in these felt great on all my joints and I felt so light on my feet. I highly recommend this shoe.

I have loved using the Wave Sky 4! It's a great addition to my footwear rotation, I typically use it for easier runs since it is so soft and responsive.

I tried these in and noticed a difference in the fit immediately. They were not as comfortable as previous models. I've run in Mizuno shoes for 10 years and I'm completely disappointed in recent changes. The lack of stability and cushioning compared to the Wave Sky 2 is appalling. It feels like these shoes aren't even meant for the same type of runners. I and willing to spend a great deal of money for comfortable shoes that also look good. I guess I'll have to look at other brands, unfortunately.

I tried these sneakers in 3 different sizes and the fit was strange. They are too curved on the big toe like dress shoes. There also seems to be an arch on the outer side which feels very odd. They look nice and are moderately cushy, just can't keep them because the fit is so off.

I just love these sneakers, and I am a little let down that the waveknit didn't make the latest update in the 5's. But with that being said, I purchased these and another pair to use once I wear these out. The shipping is superfast and Customer Service helped when I needed them as well. I do wish you took PayPal as a payment type though. Otherwise 5 start experience.

I have bought 8+ pairs of Wave Sky which are the only sneakers I have found that are comfortable for me in the last few year. Unfortunately, either the color or the batch ran small so have to return.
