leather was hard - not comfortable at all

I am a solid 40 in Birkenstock and have many pairs. I had to go up a size in these because my toes hit closer to the end than I like. I find them to be casually stylish and easy to wardrobe. The 41 fits and is comfortable in spite of being about an inch higher than I’d like.

This is a really cute shoe, but I did have to go up one size. I have a pair of last years Birkenstock Papillio Linnea Anthracite in a size 8/ 8.5 (39), and it's a wonderful fit. My big toe was right on the edge in a size 39 in this Papillio Soley style. I had to exchange it for the size 40 to get a better fit. The shoes are otherwise very pretty.

I can't comment on comfort I didn't have them on long enough. They are cute just not close for narrow enough for me.

These were just too wide for my narrow foot. I tried to tighten them with the strap, but I could only go one notch and it was not enough. They were so cute, but not very comfortable. I returned them.
