I ordered the sm, but it is too big. The chin strap will keep it on in a wind.

Way too big to be small/medium even with pull cord. Returned. Bummer as it's a great hat.

The hat was fine even if it didn’t block the sun as well as I hoped. I took the hat to vacation and it ripped after I packed it into my bag.

My hat size is 7.5 and I measured to make sure I was ordering correctly (22.5 inches). Based on both of these, I ordered the L/XL. I am able to put my fist in the hat along with my head it is so huge. The inside diameter of the hat I received is 25 inches. It seems fairly well constructed. The brim is very floppy compared to photos online, but maybe that is because my head isn't applying any tension to the hat.

The hat arrived extremely bent in two places and wrinkled everywhere else. I can probably get it to a state I won't be embarrassed to wear it but it will NEVER look like the picture.

I received this hat from Zappos and literally the first time I put it on my head part of the hat (the brim) separated from the rest. It was such a seamless separation I thought maybe the brim was detachable but no, it just broke. I opted for getting it replaced since it was very cute and seemed very functional however, was super disappointed I brought it with me on vacation and wasn't able to even use it! Really hoping this doesn't happen again.

Your packaging left very little protection for the hat. There was a huge crease across the hat.

I purchased this hat to wear in Florida and the second time I put it on the brim was falling off!

I bought this sun hat less than a month ago and it's already coming apart.

I bought this hat in a S/M according to the size chart. My head measures 21 and 1/2 inches. When on, it drops down over my ears and it is still too big. Although the picture leads one to believe that there might be some adjustability, there is not. It is a strap that looks odd if one tries to tuck it in the hat, feels odd if one puts it behind one's head, so the only option is to let it hang under one's chin. Because it was purchased with friends and family it is not returnable except to send it back with a 25%penalty. I have other Columbia hats that are more casual that fit much better but do not offer as much sun protection. I am disappointed.

I have always been very impressed with the quality for price from Columbia. Until this hat. I purposefully wore it and didn't pack it in my bag because I didn't want it to be misshapen. Nevertheless it fell apart when I picked it up to wear it for some reason. Only the second time I attempted to wear it. I am extremely disappointed. Also for the record it runs a little large.
