Let me first say that this is an aggressive trail running shoe for steep and rugged terrain. It excels beautifully at this task but is not well suited to pretty much anything else. Second, the sole on this shoe is amazingly durable. I have logged nearly 50 very rugged miles on these and besides the dust and just some slight wear on the outside foam of the midsole the shoe looks like new. I really think these could got 500+ miles no problem even on the worst terrain. With all the positives out of the way the only negative is La Sportiva sizing makes no sense whatsoever. I ended up needing a European 48.5 whereas if I look at a Euro size chart for size 13 I should be more like a 47. I also tend to wear wide to extra wide and these do seem to be a bit wider than standard even though they are not listed as wide so if you have a wider foot they might be good. They are still very snug on me but for aggressive trail running on rugged terrain this is welcome.

Very, very very small - felt at least a full size smaller than listed. Could not even get on my foot

I’ve always worn medium width shoes and never had any problem. This shoes are rubbing against the sides of my feet near the base of my little toe. I thought it was something that is going to get fixed by breaking in the shoes but that didn’t work. The more I tried to wear them the more it hurts. They are being returned.
