I loved the shoe and was bummed to send it back. There was no strap to tighten it up, and it was so loose around the ankle it did not feel secure on my foot. If you are slim, you may have the same problem. People with more weight around the foot and ankle may have more luck. It was a beautiful shoe though and I will still order others from Sorel.

Love these sandals... I have several pairs of Sorel wedge sandals (Joanie lace, Joanie ankle strap) and several pairs of Sorel wedge boots for colder weather. I'm always a size 9, and no different here. I was concerned about fit issues from other reviews of this slingback sandal, but the 9 fit just fine for my foot width and the elastic strap against the back of my ankle. I'm typically an 8.5 or 9 in most shoes. The wider strap across the upper top of my foot is a bit snug, but it's ok. If you have wider feet, this strap would likely be too snug for your foot and be uncomfortable. For my "average" width feet, these sandals are fine. I went for the sage green color and it's a nice neutral that works with my army green jackets and jeans. As others have mentioned, the wedge heel is super comfortable... I hate high heels, but I can stand and walk comfortably in these wedge heels. And the grippy soles give me confidence that I won't slip. Love Sorel wedges!! I have pairs that are 3-4 years old and they hold up very well. These sandals work with dressier clothes AND with casual clothes... very versatile! If you have wider feet, I would avoid these and go with a Sorel wedge that's adjustable like the Joanie lace.

I have several Sorel boots with a similar bottom and really wanted these to work. They look great on my feet but they were just too lose to keep them secure, wish they had adjustable straps or ran a bit slimmer. Hated to send them back!

The shoe is comfy and good looking. I’m a teacher and can wear all day. Plantar fasciitis - and so far, so good. Also, the brown/tan one has lots of tones so when I am not perfect with my self tanner - it helps hide the imperfections! Pretty shoe.

Sorel Joanie is a really cute shoe for summer. The size fit was right-on, but unfortunately the arch fit didn't work for me. The placement on the arch was a little too forward for my foot :-(( bummer.

I LOVE Sorel. Using the word “love” here. I have five pair of Sorel boots/wedges and truly all I wear. But this last round I have purchased, a total of 3 pair, seem like a completely different company. The boots, same boots I have two pair of and love, felt a size or two too small (I wear an nine, gave them to my daughter who wears a seven). I bought these, and one shoe feels great and the other shoe a size or two two small. What is happening to my favorite company?!?

Very comfortable. I can't really wear heels anymore but can pull these off because they height is perfect...they don't hurt my feet.

These are so comfortable and cute!! The back strap is a tad long but they are so versatile and comfortable that I would take them to a shoe maker if they need to be shortened in the future. The height and wedge make them flattering yet practical. I bought both the black and white and look forward to wearing them as soon as the weather improves!! I have hard to fit feet but love fashion and I think these will go with all types of pants, shorts, capris and dresses. These will be wonderful to wear with so many things!!

Just loved these but they were too small. Usually wear a 9-9 1/2 and the 9 was too small. And of course they are out of 9 1/2. Too bad really liked these.

I hated to send these back because they were very cute! The elastic on one shoe was very stretched out and there was no way to adjust it. They were just too loose around the ankles to keep them. I am a standard size 6 in other Sorel shoes, but this one was just too big. If you have larger ankles this might be the sandle for you!

I own over 10 pr of sorel boots, and love everyone of them! So when I saw this wedge sandal, I had to have them. I really want to like these. Very cute, and feel like they would be comfortable. The dowside- back heel strap is really loose, so I dont know how that will effect me wearing all day. They also run at least a half size small or more. Im a true 7.5 and I ordered 7.5 and 8. The 7.5 is way to small and the 8 my heel comes right to the back maybe a a little over, but the strap on 8 is too big. Weird! Ugh I might have to return. Even on sale for 100.00 I dont think I would keep them.

The style was so cute. The backstop hit my ankle bones in an annoying way. I could not wear them for long because of that.

The elastic bands are very tight and made fit too uncomfortable. Ordered in white and reddish tone which is neither pink nor red, somewhere in between. Cute style.

These are nice solid sandals. Sorel has previously been hit or miss for me, but these are great. They fit exactly true to size - I am 8.5 and these are spot on. I can see how the elastic might be too loose on people with smaller feet and ankles, but for my slightly thicker ankles they are perfect. Walking in them is very easy.

Probably hands down the best heeled sandal I've ever owned. I have difficult feet, so out of 25 shoes, maybe one fits. This sandal is gold. Gonna buy it in every color!
