Toebox feels quite cramped. When shoes are laced securely, my toes go numb during runs. With the shoe laced slack enough to be comfortable, the shoe slips around a bit and the top of the toebox takes on a rumpled appearance. I might try these shoes in a Wide, but it's baffling that I need to, because my Hoka One One Rincon shoes are the same size and fit perfectly, with a generous toebox.

The shoe as far as comfort goes is very good. I'm glad hoka finally got the width tuned in, and this was the first hoka shoe I could comfortably run in.
On other hand... I ran about 40 miles on trails, and the shoes are already falling apart. The toe sole is peeling off. I'm gonna do another 50 miles on similar terrain this weekend and hoping the sole will not rip off.

I've used this product for very light use until now, 7 days after receiving them. The sole is already delaminating. Disappointing.

I am a Hoka lover. Tried every size and width to find a fit and could not. Still way too narrow.

I have 11 new pairs of speed goats in the box in my closet. 5 SG2's, 4 SG3's, and 2 SG 4's. The speed goat 2 and this speed goat 3 are both superior in my opinion, because the midsole a softer. The 4 has a firmer ride. Why Hoka takes an exceptional product & continues to change it for marketing reasons, I will never now. I will be on the Internet looking for more SG 3's.

I really wanted to love this shoe, but it is too tight in the front third of the shoe. I had room for my toes but it was too tight around the front of the shoe near the metatarsals. I would give the shoe a 5 star rating if this issue was ever fixed.Reluctantly, I had to return the shoes but I really like the styling and feel of the shoe otherwise.

good fit length wise, but the shoe design is a bit narrow for my fat foot. The cushion is luxurious

Overall, good shoe, but didn't have the fit I was looking for. I had the speed Goat 2's, but wanted to switch to a wider toe box -Altra or Topo style. Though a much needed change to a wider forefoot, my big toes still compressed a bit against the side of the shoe.

I would only recommend this to people that have very narrow feet and very little foot height between the middle of the sole and the top of the shoe. And, this was the Wide size that I bought. It was so much too narrow and short (for lack of a better term), that I highly doubt the Extra Wide size would be much better (the Extra Wide HOKAs are only available in a clunky looking old man gray or black anyway). Thus I returned them for a refund, and, it was the easiest full return that I've ever made. I appreciate that! But I was really disappointed because out of the box, these shoes looked super, super great. It was a father's day gift to myself and when I opened the box in front of a room full of people, everybody was kind of awed by the colors and style. "Wow! Where'd you find that!" and such was exclaimed. But alas, not a good fit for me, nowhere close. Note that I do normally wear a EE in most running shoes, sometimes 4E's are even better, and I ordered a half size up, but I don't think even ordering a whole size up would have helped me here. I could barely get my foot into these even after I loosened the laces as much as I could. Then once I did, the biggest problem was in the toe box I'm afraid, just way, way too squishy there.
Now all of that said, these were very well made shoes in my opinion and I do appreciate HOKA's efforts toward environmental sustainability. The sole is a nice combination of cushioning and firmness and the cushioning around the heal felt nice as well, just a really solid and durable feeling shoe altogether. And, even though the shoes didn't work out for me, this purchasing experience wasn't bad at all. So if you are a young man with long and narrow feet, you'd likely like running in these and HOKA has some amazing looking styles and colors for you, but not so much for us older folk who's feet are starting yo get a little wide.

Unfortunately these shoes weren't so great. First off there seems to be to much room in the heal. My heal does not feel snug any secure. Also one of the shoes feel considerably different. I know both of your feet are not equal but this is noticeable. I am 53 years old and had many high end shoes but none of them felt like these do. I waited to long to return them so I'm guess I'm stuck with them and now have to search for another pair. I guess I just bought myself an expensive pair of LAWN MOWING SHOES.

Fit and quality okay, but way too squishy. I wanted a trail running shoe with more feel to the trail and less cushioning.
I'd also recommend:

Hokas are the best. I have worn Bondis for years, an I wanted something more colorful, but these didn't work, so I got a new pair of boring new Bondis.

This shoe would be great except, after wearing it for awhile, I began to notice the top of my feet were a little uncomfortable. I pay more attention to the bottom of my feet, so couldn't quite place it. Shoes still work great for walking the dog and do grip well on the trails.

I gave this shoe a low overall rating, not that I don't like the shoe, it was just because to the life span of the shoe. I purchased this shoe in July of 2021. It was very comfortable on the trails I walk, size fit was as posted. I ordered a size 10.5 since I measured just over a 10. Now I used this shoe From July thru October (since it is not water proof not worn in the winter) and began wearing it again in March as things dried out. I noticed prior to putting them away for the winter that the toes were starting to wear after only three months. For $144 this is unacceptable. I own several pairs of Hoka's a love there feel it's just this shoe.

Love this shoe, except the tongue is sharp, not padded like most athletic or hiking shoes. It is also an uneven shape so it digs into your ankle. They are super comfortable except for the tongue. Had to return them.

These shows look great and the sole has stuck very nicely to snow covered ground, but unlike my Challengers, which I’ve loved, these things are super uncomfortable on my right foot’s 2nd and 3rd toes.
I think it’s the fact that there is zero padding or smooth material inside the toe box, combined with the weird little plastic piece that is glued to the top (an extension of the shoelace placket material). It makes that section of the toe box unforgiving and is very tough on the knuckles of those toes, in my experience. I think it is flexing right into the knuckles on push-off. Not sure why just the right foot in my case.
These are expensive, so I have tried to use a shoe stretcher to address the issue, to no avail, as yet. I have had to cut outings short several times due to pain (I keep trying, hoping either my toes or the shoe break(s) in).
Read other low-star reviews where people complain about this design flaw. For most, I guess it ends up coming loose, but honestly that’s probably an improvement.
My left foot is happy with the shoe, but it doesn’t outweigh the issue with the right.

The toe box feels smaller than the Clifton, especially in height. The thin tongue is not comfortable.

They run to narrow for my feet. The shoe says EE width, but it feels more like a D or M width.

Lining inside both shoes is torn away at the seams on both sides from the main outer material. The tears don't go all the way down but they're attached to the tongue and are likely to increase over time. Poor design on these as well as the higher priced Hokas. Disappointing.
