Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I bought this for a hike I was supposed to take on The Lost Coast. Instead I have been using it as I "hike" miles and miles in my neighborhood. I was afraid I might be too hot, but it has kept me very comfortable, and has done a great job os shielding me from the sun. It runs true to size, and has a comfy fit.

When I order this my intention was to be able to hike in the sun without reapplying suncream every 20 minutes. I have very fair skin and am terrible in temperatures over 25c.
THIS hoody surpassed all expectations. I thought I'd be sweaty and hot but I felt cooler than I would if I was just wearing my sports bra in the sun. I was out for 4 hours ski touring in direct sun and I was cool as a cucumber with zero tan lines. The hood is great, perfect fit and doesn't get in the way while still providing adequate protection. Usually I would wear a buff to protect my face but this is a much better, breezy alternative.
The fit is nice and loose and fabric is so light it dries on the body in a heartbeat.
Fellow people who want sun protection and stay cool, this is the best i investment you'll make all summer. Your skin will thank you.

Useful piece to take on top of a tank (and with a light jacket on top if weather demands).
Lightweight nature makes it easy to shove in a pack, design simplicity of no zips/strings etc make it comfortable. Agree with the promo that is feels soft on the skin.
Fit is baggy - I am an XS normally and the XS was still a very loose fit. The model photos do tend to make this item look a bit more flattering (or at least compared to when I wore it).
I found this item a little warmer / less breathable than I expected so when it was warm I was sweating in it, I used it a bit more in higher altitude or late summer.
Would like to see it in a bright color.

I bought this in the Astral color last summer and it is such a staple I'm getting another in a different color. Even though I wear this 2ish times a week for two summers, it looks new. Can't recommend highly enough!

I'm 5' 3" and weight 150. I got the small and it fits really nicely. I'm pretty muscular, so the arms/shoulder area is usually a concern. This shirt fits me really well. If you're a slender person, I'd maybe size down to an XS.

This hoody has allowed me to bring less sunscreen on multi-day backpacking treks. I've used it on 2 treks above 2000 meters with full sun for 12 hours a day and no burns so far. The light green colour does show dirt but I think the lighter colour would also get less hot so it was a good choice for me. The material is super soft, breathable, and lightweight, doesn't get too hot. This shirt is now a backpacking staple for me. I don't like wide brim hats, so a dry fit cap + the hood now offers me full sun protection above the neck.

Light and soft, almost silky. I wear size small in arc'teryx jackets and this one in small fits me perfectly, albeit quite fitted in shoulders. I can size up if I want a looser fit. I will get another one later when more colors come out. For reference, 5'3" 118 lbs.

I love my Remige hoody. It's incredibly light weight and breathable, so I can wear it when it's hot. It's a great piece for sun protection, and balls up super small, so I don't have to think twice about throwing it in my pack. It performs well in all activities: running, hiking, climbing, skiing. A well made piece that I am very happy to have!

Looks super nice and had a good amount of coverage for your neck with the hood up or down.
I am usually get a medium, thought about getting a larger for a looser for but glad I stuck with a medium as it already is made to fit loose.
I wish the sleeves were a little longer for better hand coverage but I'm also 5'11 so have long arms. Also wish it had a pony tail hole but i had a tailor put one in for me so it's perfect now!

I bought myself one and my husband one in medium and we love this shirt. First of all I'm 6 months pregnant but still hike, bike, and garden with the kiddos. I was careful to read the previous reviews that said no snagging the material because it's delicate. Which I totally understand because it's like silk in the skin! It definitely is a sweet sun barrier and you don't know you even have it on. I love that it's a little big so I didn't have to buy a medium while preggo. Since we do multiple outside activities a day and it's so comfortable I just will try and be careful when working outside not to snag the shirt. I do t know how well it holds up against stains yet as my kids haven't touched me with their greasy hands while wearing it yet. Do love the shirt though!

The perfect layer for when you need some sun protection but don't want to slather yourself with copious amounts of sunscreen. I have a couple Remige hoodies for climbing and love them so much I got another for everyday wear during the warmer months. These should be a staple in every outdoorists' closet!

I bought the Remige Hoody to function both as a layering article or a stand alone shirt. Super soft fabric, great colour. It fits loosely on the body so it will layer nicely over a base layer while skiing or hiking, or a bathing suit while doing water sports.

Beautifully designed and made piece from Arcteryx again. I really like the colour and am looking forward to wearing it in the warmer weather. Fits well, and true to size.

I use this for everything warm. I love the sun protection, breathability, and antimicrobial aspect. Fit is both loose and flattering if that makes sense.

Very comfortable top. Really does keep you cool. Tots sun protection. Covers enough front and back that if I wear a good hat, I can skip the sunscreen. Soft material doesn't chafe underarms. Not clingy on a larger body.

What a bummer....Every women's sun hoodie should come with pony tail hole in my opinion

Great fitting , very comfortable sun shirt. I feel that the material feels heavier than other sun shirts I own. This is not my go to shirt for hot humid weather.

I have used this shirt all summer and it has exceeded expectations. I have worn it as protection against the sun and bugs, as well as a light layer while climbing and hiking and training in the gym. The material is very comfortable and breathable and I found I never overheated wearing it. I am wearing my regular size and it fits loosely.

Sleeves are a bit short compared to other products. The hood could come out further to block sun on my cheeks when I am climbing. Overall fit good on shoulders. Could be more slim fitting. I feel the mens fit better.

I bought this hoodie in the dark green colour to replace my worn out Patagonia Tropic Comfort II hoodie (men's) to wear on the PCT because it was a) my favourite colour, and b) much more flattering than my old men's hoodie.
I'm 5'8 125lbs and bought the XS.
The shirt fits well in the body/across my shoulders, but the arms were too short for the thumb loops to provide any meaningful sun protection. I wore sun gloves. Also - major drawback here - the hood doesn't cover enough of the side of your face.. so that needs to be improved.
The shirt held up for basically the first half of the PCT, though there were definitely worn out patches on my shoulder blades and back (they never became holes though). However, it got suppper faded/bleached, and I was worried that I wasn't getting the UPF protection advertised anymore, so I purchased another shirt to wear for the remainder of my hike.
I would buy this hoodie again if a) the sleeves were longer and had thumb holes rather than loops, and b) the hood was fixed to have more coverage.

I was looking for a UPF protective hoodie in a light color. The fabric was a bit scratchy and I feared it would get caught and snag while outdoors.

The material felt nice, but the fit was all wrong. XS in Arcteryx is always a good fit on me, but the XS in this top felt two sizes bigger and was very baggy and shapeless - not at all like how it looks on the model. If this item had been true to Arcteryx's usual sizing, I would have liked to keep it.
