I've got a very athletic build that fits medium to xl depending on the season. I always have the problem of the shoulders being wide and the waist being baggy. This piece has a good taper that is nice and it's an Awesome lightweight piece that's versatile. I'd def wear something warm as another layer if you get cold easily, but for everyday, hiking, or just a backup wind piece, it's quite good.

Como siempre una prenda de gran calidad y perfecta para salidas de primavera, ligera y muy cmoda. Yo mido 1,73 y peso 72 kg., la talla M es perfecta. Felicitaciones a Arc'teryx por la calidad del producto.

If you are looking for a very packable shell to wear or pull out this jacket can't be beat. The quality of the material and construction make it a great versatile jacket.

This is the perfect layer for the "winter" we've been having. I've been wearing it by itself on drizzly 50 degree days to the office and as an outer layer on hike when it's 30 in the morning and mid 50s in the mid day. The cut is perfect and doesn't look too loose when worn alone but allows a few layers to be worn beneath. I'm a huge fan of wearing this over my Atom SL. I'm 5'9" and weigh 150lbs and the small is a great fit.

I'm 5'9" and 160lbs and the medium fits very good. I chose the Agra color and very pleased with the color.
I've only had it a couple of weeks and so far I've used it for an early morning boot pack up a Wasatch couloir and just threw a layer over it when it was time to ski. Then again on an early morning start to a Moab mtn bike ride which I was able to strap it on to the bike when it got warm. It would fit in a fanny but mine is only a 3L and was already full for a 20 mile ride.
I really like this jacket so far and looking forward to more outings with it spring skiing, biking, hiking, camping, river trips, etc. I have a feeling this will be a solid piece I'll bring everywhere!

I took this on a hike up a local 4k up and down. I wanted to test it out as a traveling layer. As anyone knows traveling with Gore Tex in the low 30s can yield sweaty results. I needed something I could really move with while not drowning in sweat by the top.
This jacket totally came through with the assistance of the Delta LT Hoody and tech t-shirt underneath. I was climbing at a starting temp of 3C and got down to -1C. Typical of the PNW Alpine the temp caused me to drop the jacket until I got up a little higher. There snow melt from the trees was raining down pretty hard so I dawned the jacket to keep me dry. It totally did and didn't warm me up too much which was my biggest fear.
The GAMMA SL HOODY stayed on for the rest of the day until I hit the car. Super stoked to find a great mid layer for warmer alpine travel. I'm now using this on my mountaineering pack list for bigger climbs.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I bought this jacket for a backpacking trip I have planned, and I think it will be perfect. I have used it for a couple of ski tours this weekend, and it was perfect for the conditions. Just enough protection, and very breathable.

Used this piece for two months now, and i have been really enjoying having this piece in my arsenal.
I've taken this piece on three weekend overnight snowshoe trips, and it is an amazing layer for active ascent and decent on the trail.
I love the durability of the material so that i dont have to worry about a heavier pack tearing it apart unlike a norvan sl, yet it is still lightweight and uncumbersome.
I much prefer wearing this piece in the city over a goretex shell as it is far more comfortable. the dwr is amazing for light rain.
I tried pushing this piece for some colder weather vancouver trail running, it is a bit too much for that obviously but i tried to push its capability. for shorter runs in the 5-7 mark it is not too bad, you do get a bit clammy but it'll cut the wind. something like an incendo would be more appropriate of course.
i did wish however there was one more inside pocket, but it is no big deal, the two pockets in the front carry enough.
the colour i chose is agra, and so far it does not get dirty. washing it defintely helps, but i dont worry having to babysit this colour from stains.
Overall very nice piece to have in the arsenal if you are someone that does a lot of active mountain pursuits. Durable enough for most activity, comfy enough to wear for full day pursuits. Very Happy i have it.

I bought this men's jacket for myself as they don't sell it in a female version. Unfortunately sizing doesn't work for females and had to return it and ordered a larger size for my husband. He loves it & it is a great light weight jacket for the fall & spring. Please make it in a female version!!

First the one horrible thing: it sucks water like a spunge. DWR is totally absent. My jacket is brand spanking new. Very light rain on my first use, and i got wet as if i did not wear the jacket.
The great thing is the weight, fit and stretch. This is my new favourite jacket for golf, hiking and mountainbiking. As long as there is absolutely no rain.

Picked up this jacket recently and i love it. I primarily use it for light hikes and commuting to work! Wish it had more colors i could choose from though.

I bought this as a shoulder season jacket for hikes and general use. I use the jacket for exactly that as well as commuting to work on the bike. It's a simple lightweight jacket, the hood hangs nicely, and it seems pretty well made. I don't know if I would use this in real rain, but for questionable weather and wind, it's seems pretty solid. I used the size chart, and it seems quite true to the listed size. I'm 5'10", 142lbs, with a 30" waist. I bought the small and it is a nice slim fit. My shoulders are more of a medium, but my midsection is a small. The Small size works and has enough stretch so that I can still have a shirt and a flannel underneath with no problem. I wish it had a little bit longer sleeves for cycling, but I also have a long reach so I have this problem with most jackets. It packs up nice and small too! Overall, a great multi use lightweight jacket.

I've been using this jacket as my main ski touring outer layer this winter when it's not actively snowing here in Salt Lake. I realize it's maybe not entirely designed for this purpose but I found the Gamma LT not breathable or light enough for my style of ski touring or the weather here in Utah. I wish the back length was about an inch longer so it didn't ride up as much with a pack when leaning over to transition. I also really wish the mesh pocket material on the inside was closed/taped at the bottom so I could use it as a stash pocket. I seam taped mine so that I could stash my skins in there quickly. Another solution could be to just make the entry to the pocket slightly bigger so you could access them with a pack on and make the pocket slightly larger to fit gloves, skins, etc. I am 5'10" 145lbs and purchased a medium.

I like all of my Arc'teryx jacket...this not my favorite...after wearing my Atom SL...why?...
I was expecting so light liner...there is none...waterproof?...questionable it's like a shirt with an hood..wind proof...yes...so I layer it over my Atpm Sl...perfect combo..and my beta sL...and I'm ready ...for any type of weather!

Sturdy, light and elastic jacket with a nice fit and decent wind resistance. The attributed water-repellent property is frankly a bit disappointing. I used this jacket for the first time this weekend in very light rain and after about ten minutes the inside was already quite wet. I expected it to take a little longer.
