These pants stated Full Cut (or something like that) and Actually are. I have muscular legs (calf and thigh) and many other pants felt restrictive because of the narrow leg cut.

Bought four pair to tour the Middle East. Very impressed with comfort! Just right thickness! Plenty of pockets that are easily accessible with zippers! Built in belt saves time in airport security and very handy They look good enough to wear for Dinner as well! I also bought two pair of hiking pants from a well known competitor and the North Face pants were better by a long shot and were less expensive.

I own three pairs from three different seasons all with slight differences. These are hands down my favorite and go to pant. The waist is a bit flexible so it can fit comfortably both before and after a Thanksgiving meal. The pockets are plentiful and big. One year the main front pocket lined up directly behind the larger lower velcro flap pocket so you could not use both unless one had soft flexible items. That would be my only complaint and I think they meant those pockets to hold the legs if you zipped them to shorts, but I find them perfect for my phone.

I picked up these pants for a climbing trip to Nepal. I like the zippered pockets and the ability to convert to shorts. for me the two in one idea was perfect for this trip, since I want to have shorts while in the lower elevations and pants for the trek into base camp. The pants are a heavy wight material and seem very durable, I think they are pretty perfect. I've not shopped North Face in a while but I have to say I'm happy with the fit and the quality of the items I've picked up recently.

I brought this convertible pants for my trip from Japan to Singapore since I need to pack light. I love these pants since I can use them as both long pants and shorts during my trip. Kudos to North Face.

Bought these for my husband after trying another brand that fit poorly. He loved these while hiking and was very comfortable in them. These pants fit well and didn't ride up his behind like the other pair from another brand.

Wore these pants all day this past Saturday. Started the day with a hike through a canyon and some trails. They were incredibly comfortable and moved with me I'll climbing and Hiking. They breathed well and kept me cool. Later that day we went boating and fishing and they continue to rock! Having a nine month old and a six-year-old, all of the large Pockets made carrying accessories for them a breeze. I can't speak highly enough about how much I like these pants!

Love these pants! Rugged, comfortable, great fit. Great for casual wear, golf, etc. My one wish: add two belt loops to the back for those who don't care to use the included fabric belt.

I bought these primarily for hiking and landscape & wildlife photography. I've worn them several times already and find them very comfortable, breathable, and light weight. Despite being light weight they seem to be pants that will hold up well. I wore them hiking up Mt. Washington in NH this past weekend and they performed better then expected. The hike was 4.4 miles with an elevation gain of 4,378 feet. Virtually the entire assent is over rocks of varying sizes. These pants were great....never felt heavy, allowed for all the leg movement needed climbing over rocks, and held up without a hitch. (I shouldn't be surprised as I've always The North Face to make high quality goods) I'd get another pair of these without hesitation.

Very pleased with the fit. Was hesitant prior to purchase as I really like a baggier (but not sagging) fit and in regards to shorts, a longer length. These pants nailed it. Im 6 foot and 200lbs. Nice relaxed fit. Zipped off shorts go pretty much to the bottom of my knee cap. Perfect!

My husband loves the fit of these pants. He got them in a medium with the long inseam and they fit perfectly. His normal pant size is 34/34. He can hardly wait to try them out on a hike.

I have had several pairs of these pants before - after they all gave up the ghost it was time for a brand new pair. Price and shipping were excellent - fit perfectly.

I use these pants for hiking trips and also when I go out to do wildlife photography. They work well for both because they are comfortable to wear, rugged for the outdoors and have many pockets to put photography gear, extra lenses, bug spray, etc.

We just got back from a trip to Alaska. I bought these for hiking and exploring. They are lightweight enough that they didn't feel heavy walking on glaciers and hiking, although they are thick enough to keep you warm in a cool wind. They were a little long for me (size large). If you could choose an in seam length, that would be nice. Great outdoors pant for camping too. I like the versatility of the zip off legs to turn into shorts.

Very comfortable pants that resist rain, perfect for travel, and for destinations that are cool in a.m. and turn hot later. Good fit, lots of pockets, wash well.

I generally love the north face products and these pants did not disappoint. I'm glad they are slightly heavier material as they feel more durable unlike a lot of other hiking pants that feel ready to rip on the first branch. they are slightly warmer as a trade off but hey unzip the bottoms. also thanks for the red/blue zippers so you always know red goes on the right. The DWR does an excellent job at shedding rain and the wet trailside vegetation eliminating the need for gaiters. Finally I really enjoy the fit at the waist that is fitting enough not to dig in with a fully loaded pack. Also love the fast and deep (easily accessable) map pocket on the right leg. In all these are the perfect all around hiker pants. I will continue to go with The North Face!

I've had a couple pairs of these pant for years and they keep going. Had some problems with the crotch ripping out but I think we got that fixed. The new version/design have it all. I'll never wear another pair of jeans - these are so versatile and comfortable I hate having to send them to the wash.

I plan on using the pants for hiking, trekking, traveling, and camping. They fit great and look good. The material seems durable but a tad bit heavy, but that's the trade-off right. I think it would do well in wet weather. I like the deep cargo pockets; the left side zips and the right side is quick access; also zippered rear pocket. Comparable to the Paramount 3.0, these are the older sub-model; a little bit lower price. There were a couple of things I liked about the 3.0, but ultimately chose these because of the bigger cargo pockets and the lower price.
