I wrote a review when I first received these shoes but I am writing another after wearing them almost every day for the past 2 months to highly recommend them. I plan to get another pair and hope they have not changed! They would not win a beauty competition but they are surprising comfy for the hikes I do everyday for an hour or two. The traction is excellent & they are snug enough to keep dust & debris out without feeling tight. I have been able to rinse them off & they look good as new. I do wear a thin pair of very short below ankle socks mostly to absorb sweat. But they would be just as comfortable without. Although they don’t appear to have much support I have had less trouble with the arthritis in my toes wearing these than my regular cold season hiking shoes.

Merrill is my favorite active shoe but have bought Eddie Bauer, Ryka & Addidas

I ordered a half size bigger as suggested and they fit really well. I love the way they fit my feet and arch.

Love these little shoes... Comfortable, cute and minimalist. No break-in required. Ordered 1/2 size up and they fit great.

I really wanted to love these. The red/bright pink accent makes these shoes look technical in a tacky, throwback to the early 90s, kind of way. The shoes felt way warmer than any other barefoot shoe I have ever tried. My 2nd toe is longer than my big toe and these shoes were rubbing in a way that would hurt at the end of the day.

I wanted a minimal shoe and I LOVE sock shoes with no tongue. My foot measures a 7 and I ordered a 7.5 but my toe touched the top of the shoe so there is no way to run without loosing a nail. They are being returned.

Move Glove fits great as long as ordered 1/2 size larger than most Glove styles. Like no tongue with snug fit for maximum support. Have arthritis on feet and these are great when feet swell.

These are not cute shoes. The styling gives the appearance of the feet being pigeon toed. However, they fit well (I usually take a size 9 but ordered 9 1/2) and there is a adequate room in the toe bed. The support is better than the last 2 pairs of Merrell Barefoot shoes I ordered and had to send back (and I am grateful for Zappos great customer service!). I am not interested in the appearance as much as practicality. I bought these shoes to wear instead of sandals or open shoes on dusty trails for walking and biking. The lace up style also allows for adjustment & avoids gaping where debris can get in as my feet are narrower towards the ankle than around the footbed.
I'd also recommend:
Clarks, Eddie Bauer, Ryka, Adidas but Merrells are my favorite

Shoe feels smaller than other Barefoot styles I have ordered in the past. The tongue is attached to the sock/shoe which also makes it a bit snugger than previous styles.

Well, I'm not usually sensitive about shoe fashion, but wow these are some ugly shoes. Incredibly, Merrell has managed to get their worst-ever clown shoe look -- and I've had some serious clown shoes from them -- into a minimal shoe. They're light and comfortable, but if anyone will ever see you wearing these, keep shopping or you'll regret it. The comfort comes not from them actually fitting, but from the toe box being huge, which makes them useless for agility. The shoe isn't snug, so you aren't grounded and are always at risk of sliding around in it: Merrell has completely missed the point of what a minimal shoe is for. Two stars because they're pretty well made, but I can't imagine who would use these. Wish I'd sprung for Nikes, I thought this would be similar to their minimal-shoe entry but it is completely not.
