These fit well and are comfortable, however the second day I tried to wear them one of the boots suddenly tore down the back stitching all the way to the heel plate as I was pulling them on. I have never seen leather rip like this. The Wanama leather is not nearly as thick as the original "smooth" leather used on classic Docs. I had a pair of this same boot in smooth leather some years ago and wore the soles down til one split. If I could find them in that smooth leather again I'd go for it even though breaking them in took a while, but now I don't trust the leather on this current version.

After reading some reviews on the net, I was prepared to have a painful break in period with these boots... not so! First off however, I gotta mention shipping was super fast considering the state of chaos our world is in nowadays... they promised the shoes would arrive 04/12 and they came 2 days earlier, 04/10... BRAVO TO YOU ZAPPOS!!! Now on to the shoes. They are super soft, the leather is like butter and I had absolutely no pain at all the very first time I wore them. I’m a US 6.5 but all my Docs are a U.K. 4 (US 6) so I’d say Doc Martens run st least 1/2 size larger. I have to say though, when I put these on they were a bit tight on top of my right foot due to my right foot being slightly chubbier/larger but no kidding, I put them on, walked around the grocery store and then out with my kids for a while and the spot that was a bit tight just stretched out and by the time I got home both feet feel very comfortable and not achy! I am in love with these bad boys and they absolutely rock!

This was the first time I ordered Dr. Martens. I purchased for my 24 year old daughter for Christmas. I did my research and read all reviews for the brand. She wears a US size 9 so since I read this brand runs large I ordered a US size 8. The length is good but the width is slightly snug. But they are leather and will give as she wears them. She wore them to the mall the first day and said they felt good and they will stretch over time. The style of these are real nice the natural color is more beige in person but looks great with the black laces and chunky sole. The stacked heal is very fashionable. These are very nice boots, I think I will buy myself a pair.

This boot look and feels great. I have always wanted a pair of Dr ,Martens! Sturdy and stylish, but I can't seem to get the right size for my feet which are 6M. the 5 was too tight, 6 too big. I ended up buying Taos Boots from Zappos in size 36 - Perfect!

Just to really drive home what other reviews are saying... I LOVE these boots. Out-of-the-box comfy: I put them on for the first time and didn't really want to take them off. No breaking in period! I come home from work and leave my shoes on for awhile simply because they feel better than bare feet. Attractive: These ride the line between DM's signature chunky/masc styling and feminine. Adaptable to different styles of dress. Happy feet: I have a heel spur that I require a bit of a heel to accommodate. Zero pain since I started wearing these every day. Fit: These are a full size larger if you wear normal socks or a half size larger if you wear thick hiking socks. I can lace these SUPER tight despite having a high in-step.

This style is a little wider through the arch and heel than other styles I have. There is a lot of toe space too. Not so wide that they're too big, but definitely have room for an insole insert or thick socks. They're somewhere inbetween the sleeker and the chunkier styles, so can be paired with a range of fashion. Very happy with them!

I’m a size 10 in most shoes but wear 10.5 in most running shoes and boots. In these dr martens, the 10s were way too small (length-wise) and the 11s were just huge (width and length) so neither size ended up working for me. The 11s fit like a 12 to me... For reference, my feet are more on the narrow side so that may have contributed to the poor fit. If a 10.5 existed in this brand, it’d probably be perfect. Side note- I thought they had a nice cushion!

It's been a good 2 decades since I've owned any Dr. Martens and I decided to give these a go. Trying to figure out my size was a bit tricky. I'm a solid 8.5 in almost every shoe with the exception of a one or two brands. Everything I've read said to round down to the next whole size (a size 8), which I did initially. When I got the boot, I tried it on and was just too small, not uncomfortably too small, but just small enough to give my toes a good rub and potentially become uncomfortable. I know that doc's stretch and relax, but I think it would have been a bit too much stretch to ask for to be comfortable. So I exchanged for a size 9 (US women's), which was perfect. No toe rub and a little breathing room for heavier socks. Out of the box, they feel exactly like I remember. And as always, Zappos customer service is top notch when it comes to exchanges and returns

These might be the winner. Soft leather, comfortable out of box, seem like break in not bad. Will order thinner laces to make them slightly dressier. Now just seeing if they feel comfortable with my arch support inserts walking around my house for a few hours. If so, I might have found my new boot. Thanks Zappos for bringing the shoe store to me and for hosting helpful user convos about what works. Zappos rocks.

I was nervous these wouldn’t fit. I normally wear 10.5, so I got the 10 and it worked out. I still have to break them in a bit, but I love the look.

I ordered a 9 after reading a ton of reviews about dr martens, and asking a bunch of friends. I typically wear a 10! The 9 fits perfectly, and have no complaints. I live in Florida and don't normally need to wear thick socks, and haven't tried them with a winter stock yet- but i think there is still enough room in there! People say docs always make your feet bleed when you break them in, but mine have been totally fine so far- comfy as *heck* and I love the little heel. I usually wear heeled boots everyday, and this heel is so low that it feels more like a flat boot to me.

Beautiful boots ! Look even better in person . They are true to size and fit like a glove . Super soft inside , you will love them ! Plus the heel is Chunky and super comfy . In love with my boots !

Love love these! Slightly more feminine then the low heels, but totally can be worn for every day. This is my first pair of drs and I was surprised how soft the soles rubber is, hopefully that makes walking more comfortable. I got an 8 and it fits perfect (I’m always an 8)

The size is perfect, the Width is just right, and the comfort is just excellent. The style is very chic and goes great with jeans, skirts, and dresses.

I haven't owned a pair of Docs in ages and I was skeptical about the quality and comfort these days. I'm a true 7 with a wider foot, and the 37 was perfect. Plenty of room in the toes though I did put in a light half-arch support for extra comfort. Walked to work in them with no problems, right out of the box. Nice smooth leather and I love how trim they are to the ankle, very flattering, and the taupe color goes with everything but definitely stands out! I got compliments all day

These are really cute and lighter than most Docs. They still require a break in period, as do all Docs, but when they’re broken in they’re going to be great.

These Docs are amazing. No break in time, soft leather - comfy right out of the box. My feet are on the wider side - in regular shoes I wear a 9.5 , in shoes that are wide ‘W’ a 9. For these the 9 fit perfectly. The ‘heel’ looks a lot higher/ noticeable in the picture than it really is. When a friend of mine saw them she didn’t notice the extra hight but thought those were regular docs. So for those of you who are weary because the heel looks to high - don’t be.

The shoes fit true to size and the heel is not too high or uncomfortable for my weak ankles LOL! The material is soft and flexible, feels like there won't be a "breaking 'em in" phase. The different eyelets bring a cute design.

Beautiful boot .. had to return since there are no half sizes .. I’m going to try going a size down instead of up I’m trypically an 8.5

This is my 3rd pair of Doc Martens and each pair gets better! I live in NYC and with all of the inclement weather, these are the perfect shoes! Most Doc Martens need breaking - but not these! You can wear them right out of the box. I put in a little arch support pad for extra support, but that's it! If you're on the fence, go for it! A great first Doc Marten purchase!

This is the most comfortable boot I have found. It feels like you are walking on memory foam. I wish the laces were just a tad longer(personal style preference) would definitely recommend.

These definitely require the Doc Marten usual break in period, but after that they are comfy enough to wear all the time. Super cute with leggings and jeans.

Such a really pretty boot, but unfortunately, I had to return them. I'm usually a true size 9, so I purchased a 9, knowing that Dr. Martens sometimes need breaking in and even stretching a little. I really need a half size smaller or at least I wish they were narrower. Even if I wear them with thick socks I'm afraid they'll stretch too much. Sadly, I had to return them. Loved the color though...which is a true wheat color or beige. It doesn't have the pink looking tone as in the photo.

These boots did not work for me. Style was ok, but not very comfortable.
