Customer Reviews Blundstone BL1924 Original 500 Chelsea Boot

The fit: I reliably wear a women's size 9 or eu 40 in medium width. Blundstone Au size 6 has my toe touching the front so I got this boot in the Au 7 which is listed on Zappos as a women's size 10 - it fits like a US size 9. The length of this boot in an AU 7 is actually a US size 9. The bad: Top of the boot is higher than the 500 or the 550 and it is so tight that I had to have strong help getting the boot off. I got it on by myself, but it was a struggle. I want boots I can quickly take on and off. These are not that. This boot also rubbed a bit where the elastic meets the leather so I am going to try the 550 style boot next because it is lined and the top is a little shorter and hopefully easier to get on and off. The good: The footbed has a little arch support and the boot feels sturdy with a solid sole. I wish Zappos videos would describe the level of arch support so we do not have to find out from the reviews.

I measured my foot and went by the blundstone.com fit guide. My toes were hitting the front. Half sizes are same length except wide version of that length. 7 and 7 1/2 are same length, just 7 1/2 is wider. Not impressed with the new blind stones, they seem cheaply made compared to ones I’ve bought in years past (over 5 years ago). These are more for looks than comfort and durability it seemed. I exchanged for the next price point up, the ones with glove leather lining and got a size up, and I’m much happier.

I bought these chelsea boots for an upcoming trip to Austria. It will most likely be raining quite a bit and I wanted a pair of boots that are waterproof and comfortable. So far they seem comfortable, but I haven't walked very far in them. I like the bronze color gore, it adds a little bit of fun and interest.

These are great boots. I ordered a US 7 and 7.5. The 7 fits better, looks better, so returned the half size. The boots will be going with me to NYC for a rainy day, and then to Ireland this spring. Comfortable straight out the box.

Love the glitter!! Don't love how hard they are to get on and off.

Love the look, super cute! But the 500 fit is so much more difficult to get on and off with the lack of the interior leather lining. Not sure if I will keep them yet.

I LOVE the look and feel of these boots! High quality construction. They are surprisingly comfortable-flexible, not rigid, and cushioned footbed. They’ll be great for walks and hikes and the first thing I pack on trips to Duluth this fall.

Blundstone's do not come in 1/2 sizes. I am a 7.5 and got the 8 (5) and out in an insole. Great! Easy to put on and I can wear them all the time. No need to break them in.

The side has a lot more glitter to it than I had thought.
