Leather feels substantial and is thick enough to last many years. Plus, the leather is very pliable and feels very comfortable. I like the style and the fact the leather upper is physically stitched to the sole for added durability and quality. I ordered 2 pairs, 8 and 8-1/2, to check the best fit. Sizes printed on the boxes indicated "8 US/41 EUR" and "8-1/2 US/42 EUR". After receiving the packages I physically compared the sizes and found them to be exactly the same. Comparing to a couple of shoes I own, I found the Born shoes matched an 8-1/2. It seems the size 8 was a half size too large, and the 8-1/2 was true to fit. Given Zappo's free return policy, I'd recommend ordering 2 or 3 pairs to ensure you're receiving a correct size.

Please ask again when the world is cured and we can put shoes on and go outside again. Right now, they're still in the box, with nowhere to go...

Very comfortable boot. Much more arch support than I was expecting. The heel is high, but it feels good. Lots of cushion in the forefoot area. I wear them with slacks or jeans (in brown), and they look good. Definitely a little dressier than some chukka boots. Also a great value compared to other boots. Zappos, as always, is amazing with shipping and service!

Just another awesome pair of Borns in my closet. Some reviewers say they run big, but I think that's an illusion because of the somewhat pointed toe (like a dress shoe instead of the kind of clownish Born standard--which I love, by the way.) My concern was whether I could put a shine on them, so I could wear them with a suit. The answer is definitely yes, for both the black and the brown (I got both). Dress shoes normally aren't all that comfy; I'm excited to be wearing nice-looking, comfortable shoes now.

I purchased these for my son as a Christmas present. He wears a 10 in most shoes, including dress shoes. The 10 was a wee bit too long for his foot and felt too big in the heel (it slipped). We re-ordered a 9.5. As with most Born styles, they seem to be a bit narrow. So while the length is perfect and his heel isn't slipping anymore, the width overall is a bit snug. Since these are suede, he decided to keep them and bank on them stretching a bit. He's worn them twice and says they're getting more comfy with each wear. He also says they look *fierce* with skinny jeans.

Chukka is very nice. Full grain, light, quality craftsmanship. A little on the narrow side which for me is perfect as I have a slightly narrow foot. Looks great & for less than $60 a great value. No regrets purchase for me. And as usual Zappos customer service/delivery speed is world class.

Shoe/boot is great. I actually sent a couple back and then after purchasing several other chukkasI decided to purchase the pair I currently have. By comparison they’re as nice and more comfortable than the others. There on the narrow side which is great for me because I have a narrow foot and they’re probably a half size large so I purchase down a half size. Overall very satisfied and would highly recommend. Purchasing them at $57 made it just a little sweeter.

I am usually a a size 9, so that is what I ordered first, but it was too small. Thanks to free and easy return policy, I was able to return them and get size 9 1/2 which fits perfectly. Very happy with the shoes and my experience with Zappos.com. I will be shopping here in the future!

Length felt great, a bit too narrow for my medium width foot. Would love to keep them but don't want to take the chance that they won't stretch comfortably. Workmanship and leather seem to be very good quality.

I'm very happy with these so far. I bought them to replace my everyday shoes that were falling apart. Style-wise, they work with a jacket and tie as easily as they do with jeans and a t-shirt. They feel a little snug on the instep, but to be fair I'm still breaking them in.

Having experience with the Born name, this pair lives up to any expectations.

I wear thicker socks to compliment the coushy feel of my Born shoes (I’ve five pairs), but these are more narrow, which surprised me.
