Great looking boot! I wish didn't have to return. I am normally a 9.5 but ordered a 10 to give a bit more width to accommodate a bunion and wider toe box but the boot was more slim fitting than I expected and a also bit stiff. To me it seems that it won't loosen up with time as much as I would need -- I live in NYC so I walk everywhere (with and without my dog, so I need a comfy boot/shoe). The 10.5 would be too long for me but if there is a wide available anywhere I might try it as it really is a good looking boot. Give it a try if you need a cute all-weather boot and your feet don't run a bit wide!

These fit well, but the leather was just too stiff for me. Maybe I'm just too sensitive--or I've lost interest in giving shoes times to break in. I could hardly move my foot in the shoe, though, so back they went. I mean, if I wanted a break in period, I'd just buy some Doc Martens.

The boot itself was very nice. I always size up a half size for Merrell hiking shoes, but ordered my normal size with the boot and the fit was fine. However, the leather strip on top of the wool lining was cutting into my calf when I walked. It might have been ok when broken in more, but at the price I did not want to take the chance and sent them back.

I love the comfort of Merrell shoes and wanted to keep these. This style could REALLY use a zipper to aid in slipping on and off though. I just don't like having to lace up every time. I will keep searching. Beautiful boot though.

I love how you can put an orthotic in. I wore these around the house all night to break in and after 30 mn they felt great. I didn't want to take them off. I bought these to do some heavy duty walking in Europe in March. They needed to be waterproof, comfortable and stylish. Love them

I ordered these in black, size 9, med. width. I’m a solid 9. They fit very well but were slightly snug in width. However, I think the leather is good quality and will mold well. Very cute boot and warm. Nicely made. I ordered a brown pair for my daughter for Christmas. It’s a very attractive rich brown. Overall they seem good quality.

Excellent boots for winter weather- sturdy but flexible, solid but with a touch of design, having incorporated beautiful wool plaid inside and a strip of wool on top. I have big size shoe and still using my "summer-adjusted " eye - my first impression was- oh my!this boot looks big!... but this wasn't correct first impression. The reality is that this boot is built for winter and it is excellent for its purpose. Very comfortable from first try - I love them!

Great boot! Comfortable right out of the box and didn’t require a “break in” period!

Absolutely gorgeous boot! They seem to be a half size bigger than my other Merrell boots.

THe Legacy Lace Waterproof’s were about a half size too small. The style is nice but I thought is a was a little difficult getting them on. I’ve worn Merrell many times without a size issue, theses just didn’t work for me. They were returned.

I love Merrell and can usually wear a size 5 in their hiking boots and clogs. These size 5's were just too big.

Initially, I thought these were perfect for what I needed them for. I'm a substitute teacher at an elementary school and needed something that would be appropriate for recess but also something I could stand in for long periods of time. Merrell is a good brand but these fell short on the comfort side for me. I have owned other Merrell shoes and boots and not had issues. I wish I could return these but they've been worn a handful of times and have scuffs on them already. I'm kind of wishing I had just gotten some regular old Doc Martins now after spending so much money. It's kind of a big bummer.

These are very attractive looking boots, but they are very stiff. The overall quality of the materials also seems to be cheap and not what I could expect from a boot of this price.

I would be curious to know how a larger size, and possibly a "wide", would fit. These were just way too tight on all sides. I wasn't crazy about the material either but overall a cute boot....may be best for a younger crowd.

I like the look, but they just weren’t comfortable enough to walk around in all day.

I bought these boots hoping they would be a winter workhorse. However, there is something -- a tack, maybe? -- rubbing my heel even through the thickest wool socks. I can't walk in them any distance greater than 1-2 miles without getting a killer blister. Super disappointing, given how much I spent on these boots.
