I have been looking for a black pair of knee high boots that I would love as well as a pair, that is sadly, getting ouite worn. I own more Born boots that I should, and they are one of the brands that I look to first. There is something about the way they fit that suits me well. These are possibly the prettiest Born boots I have. I was so excited upon opening the box. The shaft is just the right height, the leather is sumptuous, and the lining is soft. The style is absolutely gorgeous and can be worn with anything. The heel is a true 1/2". or some reason Zappos has it listed as 1 1/4", but I saw that on the Born website it listed them as 1 1/2" so there was no surprise. The width and calf circumference are prefect for me, but may be a little snug for some. All around perfection for me.

So happy to find these!! The leather is beautiful and they fit my legs perfectly. I tried at least a dozen other boot brands / styles and either the calf area was just a tad snug or the extended calf was too large. The color is beautiful. I like the heel height. Overall style of the boot is flattering.

Love the style and color, but the width of the calf is crazy big. I think I had a 2-inch gap. I admittedly have thin legs though.

LOVE. THESE. BOOTS. I got them in brown full grain leather leather, and the color is deep and rich and the ombre effect around the toe is just gorgeous. And best of all, they are SO COMFORTABLE. The footbed is really well padded and provides decent arch support for a boot. I usually buy Fryes, and although they look fantastic, the footbed is never padded and they can be uncomfortable after a lot of walking. I'm really pleased to find a brand that's beautiful and comfortable. There is enough room in the footbed for a warmer sock, which is great because Chicago winters are brutal. I have athletic calves, so sometimes boots can be a little snug on me in that area– these feel great; no stretching required. I also have a wider foot, but these still feel good with a sock on. This is my first pair of Borns, and I'm just mad at myself for not trying them sooner. I am really pleased with this purchase.

I loved these right out of the box. I was looking for a nice, black, leather boot that could be worn for a "dressy" occasion (like with a knee-length dress or with skinny jeans), BUT that would still be comfortable. These are perfect. For one thing, the leather is soft and feels high-quality. Second, the boots are very comfortable. The insoles are soft and they are wonderful to wear. I need a slightly wider footbed because of some issues with my feet that make me uncomfortable in most shoes, so I always size up from my normal size. I am traditionally a 7, so I ordered these in an 8 but they were huge. I returned and got the 7.5, which is perfect. I have plenty of room around my toes and I love the way they look. Thumbs up!

I have been a Born fan forever, but in the last year or so, everything is smaller than previously. Especially the toe box and width of the shoe. I wish Born had not changed their sizing and manufacturing. The boot is beautiful, so will try it in a larger size.

The calf is quite large on this boot. I am slim and petite, with athletic calves, these were not flattering.

The foot size was true to size and a comfortable fit. The calf width was much larger than an average fit. I had to return them.

Everything was perfect about these boots except the extra wide gap at the calf. I could have fit a tennis ball in at the top.

The calves on these boots are ENORMOUS on me. I'm 5'6" and 125 lbs. :( Have to return them. Otherwise, the boots look well made if you have a wider calf.

They seem nice. Mid-range quality. The toe on the left boot was scuffed a bit.

I like this boot but am exchanging my usual 9.5 for a 10 so I'll have room for warmer socks. The top is a bit wider around my calf than I need it to be. I'm still pondering whether that extra roominess around my upper calf looks ok or weird. I would be wearing them with tights, unlikely to ever tuck pants in, so I'm not sure.

Love these boots! I bought the gray boot because of the unusual color. It's a brown gray and is very versatile. They fit my narrow foot and ankle very well and conformed to my 15" calf with skinny jeans beautifully. Simple, clean style. I ordered the brown color also at a great sale price. Great value.

This is a beautiful, classic boot. The black comes in a smooth, non-grainy leather. I typically wear a size 9 in boots, and I have a narrow foot, with a high arch. The foot bed is soft and supportive, and fits well with a little wiggle room for socks. My calf is about 16 inches in diameter, and these boots fit with about a quarter inch of extra room at the very top. It takes a little tugging to get over the mid-part of my calf, but once on the boots are very comfortable. I have a pair of Cupra Borne boots that are very similar in style and fit to the Cosna boot. While the Cosna boots are not advertised as being waterproof, I wear my other Borne boots through slush and snow, and my feet always stay dry and warm.

Such a beauty! I ordered a 1/2 size up as suggested by some reviews. Long in the toe and still too narrow for my wide front feet. I really wanted to keep these.

Nice fit and style but the calf opening is too big.

Calf circumference is way too big. Makes it look really strange.

The boots are cute, but they feel tight around the ankle and don't give much while walking. Also the left boot arrived with a weird, patchy finish that is evident in certain lighting.

These are beautiful soft leather and very comfortable, however the shaft was far too wide in the calf, and so sadly have been returned.

As with many reviewers, I had to return these due to the calf being entirely too wide. I was sad to return them, because the leather was supple, the inside lining was warm and soft, the arch support was amazing...overall I felt this was a really nice quality boot. I wish Born would read these reviews and make different calf sizing, or at least would adjust their "normal calf" boots closer to normal. The search continues...

I have been looking for stylish knee high boots that would zip over my calves while wearing jeans or leggings. These are perfect!

The boot is a little stiff around the ankle. After wearing them twice they softened up. They are a gorgeous boot. There is a light lining that provides some additional warm.

I wear a 7 so I ordered the 7 and accidentally sent it to my Mom's house. She thought it was a gift and put them on. They fit her perfectly and she is a 6 to 6.5. I reordered a 7.5 and the fit is much better for me. The style is understated classy and the boots move from outdoor activity to indoor work easily.
