I really liked the style of these boots, the full-grain leather, and the attractive yet comfortable heel. However, they were too narrow. I wear an 8M, and the toe area was cramped, both in width and in depth. My foot was hanging off the sides of the sole, and pinched by the leather. I ordered them in Wide, and discovered that the sole width was exactly the same in the Medium and Wide shoes (I measured the soles, and I also compared the removable footbeds, which are exactly the same in both widths). The only difference is, the Wide has more leather to accommodate your foot. This did not give me support under my foot, which is what I needed. Also, the outsole is quite thin under the toe area, and I could feel the ground underneath. It needs more cushioning. I felt that, at this price, these boots should have leather upper lining and insole. This is especially important in boots, as the man-made synthetics will cause one's feet to sweat.

I have a narrow heel, flat feet and a bunion. Medium widths are often too wide and narrow widths hurt the bunion. 10 medium is my usual size, although I wear 9 1/2 in some shoes. The 10 medium in these fit nicely with moderately thick socks. The footbed is comfy. I don’t feel pressure on the ball of my feet. I agree with the other reviewer that dark gray is the wrong name for this color. They are a brownish gray. Dark Taupe would be a much better description. I really like the color and the style. The heel height will allow me to wear them with work clothes or jeans.

Love these ankle boots. I am an 8 wide pretty consistently and the 8 wide fits just right. Comfortable and look nice enough for work in a business casual officer. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the color name, dark gray, is a little misleading. Not really a true gray, more brownish gray, maybe dark taupe. Regardless, I find the color appealing, neutral and will go with most of my wardrobe. In fact, I’m wearing them with a gray sweater today and they coordinate nicely.

Sadly, this cute boot did not work for me. I have a narrow heel and the boot would slip up with every step. I tried using an insole but it didn’t help.

I normally wear a size 7 and the 7 in these boots fit perfectly. They are extremely comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time. The low heel is just the right height. The Dark Gray is definitely misnamed. They are a nice brown and go with all of my browns but not any of my grays. However, I love them and I am keeping them. I've ordered a second pair in black!

I love these boots! Normally, I wear regular width but I wanted to wear with socks so I got the wide. Plus some of the reviews said they ran narrow. The fit is perfect. I’ve worn several times now. One night, I was on my feet all night, and they were super comfortable.

Taos shoes are always winners with me, and these do not disappoint. I have slender feet, which this boot may cater to, but the styling also makes it look slender and attractive. I preferred the ankle to other booties I tried because is is not so wide open. I like the wider, lower, more stable heel. The color (yes, more taupe than gray) is versatile.

I did very much like the boots; unfortunately even with a wide width and my arch they did not fit so I had to return them. I was very disappointed as the boots were very nice.

The style of these boots is amazing! I was disappointed that the 'wide' width felt like a regular medium B width. I have worn them twice with very thin socks and they seem to be stretching a bit, so I will be keeping them.

Really cute boot but it did not fit comfortably either in the toe box or the heel. Just not comfortable at all and even with or orthopedic insert, they would not have fit better or was more comfortable! A couple of the reviews alluded to that but I wanted to try anyway. It is unfortunate as these boots are so attractive. Sadly I had to return them.

It was a terrible fit. I tried a medium and a tried a wide. Nothing worked. Really don't waste your time.
