Ugh, I was really looking forward to getting these boots. I love the color combination and have worn Keen shoes before. These boots were slightly small, and they were painfully stiff around the ankle. Most shocking of all, both boots had ripped seams!

I have bought Targhees hiking boots every few years as they typically stand up the beating they get with my use. The 1st and 2nd pair I purchased in the past lasted around 2.5 years. This pair I had to return, not once but twice. Why, because they front seem near the toe on both right and left feet keep coming unglued and my toes get wet. I'm very disappointed in Keen. I'm not sure if they switched glues or maybe changed where they are manufacturing their shoes. My feet do the best in these hiking boots.. but now I have not alternative but to try another brand.

The Targhee III is a huge disappointment! The stability of the foot bed is nowhere near as perfect as the targhee II The entire shoe is narrower and nowhere near as comfortable. I could put on a brand new pair of Targhee II and walk over 16000 steps in a day and still have happy feet These updated Targhee III hurt straight out of the box and are going back immediately!

These are awful. I noticed as soon as I put them on, the boots forced my feet to slant inward. To make sure I wasn't imagining this, I had my neighbor try them on as she is the same size as me. She also noticed the weird slant! While they initially fit, when I walked in them my toe slid up slightly and started rubbing the toe area. But if I had even gone up a half size, they would've been too big.

These are THE BEST BOOTS! The fit, ankle height, arch support, toe box - the perfect package! I have name brand very pricey boots that don’t hold a candle to these! Well Done KEEN!

I have been shopping for Winter waterproof hiking boots for the last month and it has been really hard! Being 57yo and having recently gotten over some foot issues and having a size 11 foot I refused to settle. I love to walk daily and I'm not willing to risk foot problems. Having a true size 11 normal to slightly wide foot is hard because it can bump me into men's which doesn't translate most of the time. Ends up being too wide.
Anyway this boot fits! Wide enough toe box and room for my toes to move with good boot socks. They seem well made and not too clunky. I've tried Oboz, Merrell, other Keens, Xero. I have not worn then outside yet but after a month of trying shoes, I know these will work! Planning on snowy weekend away with snowshoeing!

Not fair to give a review since I have not worn them yet. Will be wearing them soon for landscape work. They fit perfectly when I tried them on and walked around inside the house.

Don't know where the myth that womens feet are pointy began, but fortunately the makers of these Keens are more informed! The foot bed widens at the knuckles and then narrows just a bit at the end. A Perfect fit for me!
I'd also recommend:

Hopefully these boots will be as long-lasting and comfortable as my previous pair. They have been worn almost daily in snow, mud and over hill and dale. Nice wide toe box and good arch support.

Very comfortable hiking boots even when not hiking. These were my main footwear for travel to Norway, in both cold and warmer climates and they worked well. The most comfortable hiking boot I've had!

I was looking for a boot for better ankle support. Took a chance on these as the store didn't have my size in stock to even try on so had to order. Straight out of the box these have been incredibly comfortable and needed little to no break in period. I walk/hike 3-5 miles per day regardless of the weather, and these boots have been such a surprise. The toe box is on the wide side which is great when wearing a heavier sock. They have kept my feet warm and dry. I did just order the low cut version for times when I might not need as much boot - and I did order a half size down thinking of warmer weather and thinner socks. We shall see when they arrive how that works out. Overall, these have worked perfectly for me.

Keen Rocks The Top!!!!! There's no better fitting shoe than Keen; I have a few pairs and no plans to try any other brand. The fit and comfort of a Keen shoe cannot be surpassed. They cost a little more, but so worth it - you get what you pay for defines Keen to a tee.

Very spiffy looking Hikers. Serious shoes. However, my wide feet found that taking out the inner sole insert was necessary, if the wearing of socks was to be had. Overall, pleased with this purchase.

I ordered these right before a hiking trip. They were great right out of the box, no break-in time needed. I was thankful on every hike for the support and comfort. This is my second pair of keen hiking boots and I'd highly recommend. The last pair lasted for10 years of summer hiking. Love them!
