Just order these already! After so many returns and trying on shoes, I finally found the pair! So comfy out of the box, soft not hard but sturdy and oh how it wraps around my feet like a glove- not to tight just perfect! Of course everyone's feet are different but just try them!

These are really comfortable boots. However, I opted for the Oboz over these only because there is a bit too much room for my foot in the wide toe area. Unless I wear a super heavy sock, eventually I end up with metatarsal pain from gripping too much with my toes to keep from sliding around within the toe bed.

These hikers are comfortable and give great support. They do run a little wide.

Try the boots on with the socks that you are going to wear when you hike to make sure that you have the right size. The hiking boots are a little over priced.

The fit and size were perfect. The only thing I didn't like about this style although it had great reviews is that they do not look good. Very rugged looking. I bought these for hiking but wanted a style to wear daily even though I wasn't hiking. I've tried and bought different brands. Zappos has a great return policy which makes it easy for me to try different brands and sizes.

These fit perfectly in my normal keen size 8, but I decided I didn’t like the mid ankle height and sent them back. They didn’t rub my ankles, but I wasn’t used to the confined feeling they gave me. I plan to buy the same shoes in low top. I loved the darker color.

Fit me perfectly, they had good traction on snow and ice on a day below freezing (did not try them on wet ice but not many are good on that), They are comfortable in the foot but my right ankle was sore after three hours of hiking...so they need to be broken in for me.

I wasn't sure how the boots would be since they were on sale, but they are just right for me. My older shoes are Keen, and I have been very happy with them. These are a little light colored, but since they were on sale I didn't care. The fit and size were good for me. Zappos suggested a half size larger, but I went with my regular size and they were fine.

Overall this is a good, sturdy boot with great ankle support, something that was especially important to me. My feet stayed dry and didn't overheat. Had good traction on rock. We hiked through some mud, but the boots cleaned up nicely. Felt great going up the mountain, but the balls of my feet were sore coming down. Will be getting a gel insert before my next hike in them.

These boots are attractive and comfortable, Light weight yet rugged . I didn't have a chance to break them in prior to a hiking trip to Yosemite. As I was packing, just hours prior to my flight, I slipped on the boots. A little stiff at first but within 20 minutes of walking around in them I noticed how comfortable they had become! We'll see how well they hold up after a week of hiking!

I bought these last summer, it was a dry summer. This is a very wet spring, and wearing these out on wet ground they wet through around the bottoms. I went out this morning and it started raining hard, they were unite wet after less than a half hour. Waterproof???? Not at all. They are comfortable, but not a lot of ankle support.

Old targhee IIs are better. Luckily I was able to snag a pair of those too which I’ll be keeping. These feel much wider and look wide on the foot too, making them less stylish.

I really wanted to love these shoes. Like the way they look. But top of the shoe rubbed my left ankle in just the wrong place, and quickly became painful, just trying them out indoors. I would be afraid to wear them on a hike, so returned them and have ordered something else. Maybe just hit my foot in the wrong place. Someone else might not have this problem. I have low Keen sandals, which I have worn on multiple hikes in warm climates. They protect my toes, and I always liked them.

I have a narrow heel, slightly wide toes and a high instep. These shoes do not open wide enough to get my foot in comfortably and once in, they are tight across the top of the foot near the ankle. If you have a high-volume foot they may not be the boot for you.

These keens look nice, and are overall, quite comfortable. I bought these as i was looking for something waterproof and rugged. I primarily wear barefoot, zero drop shoes with a wider toe box. And since keens have the boxy, wide toe box, i thought these might work. They aren't wide enough for me, and i don't find squished toes to be comfortable. They did seem to be waterproof in both rain and slush, but man! did they make my feet sweat. Its hard to find a balance of waterproof and breathable, i understand that. Other than the toe box, with a pair of wool hiking socks on, they fit well. I did order half a size up, as recommended. I usually wear an 8 1/2 and a 9 fit well in length. Unfortunately, just a little too narrow for me, so ill be returning them, but overall, really nice shoe and a good value. I would recommend them to someone who has a more narrow toe spread.

The 7.5 was too big and the 7- my usual size - was too small. The targhee II 7 fits me perfectly. I guess it’s the narrower toe in the III that doesn’t work for me.

Although size was OK, shoes hurt my feet, especially the left foot, in a couple places. One area on the sole of my foot, another area near the ankle. Tried wearing them around the house for an hour to see if it would get better, no luck.

The material is too hard on your skin, specially around the ankles. They gave me blisters and bruises around my ankles after trying them for a couple of hours.

The Keen Targhee III Mid Waterproof was uncomfortable right out of the box. It felt like there was a ridge or large bump pushing up under the footbed. The length was slightly longer than expected, width was fine. However, It felt like the arch support was not in the right place, and more along the side of the shoe, turning one foot slightly over and inward. Never had that in Keen hiking boots before, so maybe something was wrong with this particular pair. The outer shoe looks like it is mostly rubber and is not attractive. For some reason it also made my feet look bigger (even in the black color) and since I wear a size 10 shoe, the overall look was clumpy and clumsy. Kept the other Keen hiking boots I ordered at the same time.
