We went a half-size larger on these to see if they'll last beyond the current season, so it's hard to evaluate the proper fit, but my daughter says they feel good on her feet. The material is a bit plasticky like most cleats nowadays tend to be, I assume to make them more durable (or cheaper to manufacture). She digs the pixely camouflage design; I like it because it's color-neutral and goes with the uniforms for both her teams.

My son thinks these are the most comfortable cleats so far. He has flat and wide feet. However, they don't seem to last long. The cleats themselves break off or melt after about 4 months.

My son loves them. May not be the most "high performance" but they were comfortable and soft out of the box and they will do fine for an 8 year old.

These were for my son who normally wears an xxw. He says they are wide enough and do not hurt his feet.

These are ok. The quality doesn’t feel great, especially since I got some adidas off the same quality for $20. They are not wide! it’s really hard to find wide sports shoes and this seems to be the only brand to have shoes labeled wide. But these were not wide at all and pinched my kid’s foot. I’m sure they’d work fine for your average kid, but not if you need a wide.

These were the second pair I ordered. The first pair was a 5.5 (normal shoe size) and they were too big. Downsized to a 5 and still way too big. Decided to return both pair and buy locally.

These are very nice shoes but they definitely run a size bigger.
I'd also recommend:
Under Armour, Adidas

My son has wide feet and NB was the only cleat that worked for him. I use the past tense because this new model with the totally synthetic upper, is too narrow, even in the wide. The previous model had some cloth in the upper, and therefore more give. I'm beyond irritated. Please go back to the old model or make your shoes wider. Please note manufacturers that a huge chunk of feedback about baseball cleats is about them being TOO NARROW. Athletes have WIDE FEET. Please adjust your sizing accordingly.

NARROW NARROW NARROW!! THESE ARE NOT WIDE. THEY ARE NARROWER THAN PREVIOUS VERSIONS. I always buy New Balance Wide for my son. This season Fall 2020 they changed the shoe to more plastic and it has no give. In the past there was more woven material. You can compare V4 and V5 to see this if you google it. Very disappointing! I do love shopping at Zappos for all our footwear because they make it so easy.

Nice shoe for Little League or Recreational League- Not for Club Baseball. My son is 8 and plays 9u club baseball. These cleats lasted 3 weeks! Some of lugs broke completely off, others were splitting and chunking off. Absolute garbage. Extremely disservice in New Balance. Cleat lugs are entirely too soft.
