I absolutely loved the original Liberty ISO. They were excellent in so many ways. My only complaint with them was that they did not last very long. the upper began to breakdown a bit too soon. So here I am continuing with the line in hopes the model was improved on. The new version ISO 2's received a drastic change from the previous version. The most noticeable is these feel much more heavy while running. The previous model felt much lighter and springy with more ground feedback. Also, The heel fit was originally perfect but now with a different design and having a much wider fit in the back I cannot get a good lock down at all. My heel wants to pop right out of these when cranking it despite using lacing variations. Outsole wise I've gotta be honest. The crystal rubber is really bad. If there is the slightest bit of rain on the road prepare to lose traction and slip around majorly. Uphills on damp pavement is like running on ice. To sum it up, these were a huge miss for me. The Liberty line is the saving grace for those like me with mild over-pronation and flat feet. I hope a version 3 happens with some of this feedback put into consideration.

First iteration of the Saucony Liberty is the best shoe I have run in the past ten years, second iteration has me searching for a new daily trainer.

I ordered this shoe January 5, 2020. I bought a men's 10.5 (M) in the grey/yellow color. Since then, I've taken it on several 3 mile runs, a couple 5 mile runs, and a 9 mile run. I bought it with the intent of training for a full marathon this coming April, logging 20-50 miles a week. Overall recommendation: it's not worth the money. Almost borderline unsafe. Pros: the 'isofit' lends to nice cushion and feel around the foot. Moderate stability and support. Cons: the 'everun' slips on wet surfaces. Not much for arch support. I was referred to the Iso Liberty from a running friend. Being new to the brand, I did not have expectations from previous experience with Saucony, but know it as a well-respected brand in the running community. I have ran multiple full and half marathons, having logged a couple thousand miles in training. I say this to show that I have tried and tested many running shoes. That said, I'm disappointed. I feel like I overpaid. If it didn't have the Saucony logo on it, I would've mistaken it for a cheaper shoe. I don't think this shoe is with $80, let alone $160. I do NOT like the 'everun' sole. I find it hard to believe the developers of this shoe approved it and recommend it as a road running shoe, as it slips on wet concrete. I know what you're thinking, everything's slippery when it's wet. But the 'everun' sole is like when hard plastic gets wet. A few of my runs have been after a rainstorm passed, leaving wet roads and sidewalks, or I jogged while it was sprinkling. During each of these runs, I had to focus on not slipping rather than the run itself. Each step, I felt my foot slip just a fraction of an inch. It was unnerving. It's not a lot, but it's enough of an issue that I felt compelled to write this review. If you live in a place that rains a lot, especially do not buy this shoe. Additional review: if you prefer to 'feel' the ground more when you run, this is not the shoe for you. I also think this is due to the 'everun' sole, but this might be more by design as some people don't have that preference. I do like the 'isofit'. It's comfortable and secure without being tight. My feet were not too sore breaking them in. I will update my review if things change as the shoe breaks in with more running.

Last year's Liberty ISO was an all around perfect shoe. What stood out most about the Liberty ISO was the quality of the sole and, therefore, the exception support and durability it provided. The sole on the Liberty ISO 2 feels much less supportive. On my first run, I could feel the contours of the ground more and felt each foot strike more through my shins and knees. The original Liberty ISO was the shoe that converted me to Saucony after wearing other brands for years. The Liberty ISO 2 is the shoe that has sent me back looking for a better option.

I started wearing these shoes about 6 weeks ago walking about 20 - 25 miles a week. I've been wearing Saucony for years and this shoe was not up to the standards I had expected. The heel on both shoes wore very badly. Also, the fabric above the left toe wore a hole in it in less than 6 weeks. I don't t exercise hard in these and was very disappointed in the poor quality of this shoe as it was not what I had experienced with my others (I still have a back-up that is about 2 years old that is in better shape than these). Fortunately, I filled out a defect form and Saucony issued a credit to pair of shoes.

I bought 2 pair of these (8.5 women's and 9.5 men's) after reading reviews and reply on Saucony brand name, but disappointed. Shoe fit great and had enough room at toe, but eventually (within 4-5 months) toe started poping out from toe box in both pairs of shoes.

Inside cushion does not go to toes. It stops on knuckles of the toes. Seems like a flaw. Returned item.

Shoe only lasted 83 miles of easy running before the cushioning at the heal wore out.

I run 35-40 miles a week and I don't believe these shoes are for that amount of miles. Very stiff, clunky, and painful.

What is going on here? Have you guys just been taken over by the Russians? My old Guide 10 shoes are very possibly the best running shoes I have ever owned, so how could you descend to such a low state with these wooden planks?! Granted, I need a bit more cushioning than the average Joe, but while the heel cushioning on these is adequate, the front stack literally doesn't exist! I feel like I'm trying to run in swim fins. These shoes are going to be assigned to that duty. Somebody over there needs to lose a job over these things. Don't give me liberty, give me DEATH!

This shoe is a complete disappointment. The Liberty ISO is was pretty much perfect. The only thing I'd like to see improved on was a little more padding in the back of the heel/ achilles area and some more fun color ways. Hoped the Liberty ISO 2 would have these improvements but that would be a NO. There is hardly any room in the toe box. It has almost no stability...better off buying a neutral shoe and for cheaper. It also didn't feel as plush as the original. A huge let down and to add to all of this hardly any colors and definitely not any colors as good as the original as well. So disappointed and for the price which Saucony used to be a little more friendly to my wallet...I'm considering Hoka and Brooks again now that all the prices seem to be in the same range.

the original Liberty iso was one of the best shoes ive run in. this update ruins every thing that made that shoe great. the first pair was so defective saucony sent me a replacement. the toe box is very tight, when you lace them you get a strange fold around your ankle. the sole feels off thicker on the outside the sole doesnt run well. not a good motion and thats what these are for running. the original liberty had no padding on tongue and fit like a lightweight breathable glove. these have a very thick padded tounge and can not be laced tightly its like having a blanket on top of your foot. as sauconys premier shoe based on price i was expecting at least a good shoe but they are a disappointment.
