I loved these! Someone else commented they look like footballs on your feet, and yeah, kinda, but I thought in a cute, comfy way. I tried a size 8 first, and I have always bought 8 in Sorel up to now. Just sized up in another pair of Sorels (the wedge bootie, which I am keeping in an 8.5), so I thought the 8.5 would fit better in these, too, largely b/c I wear thicker pairs of socks in the winter. I think these shoes are SO pretty. Another person commented that they were concerned how they'd hold up in the mess of winter, and that's where my concern is, too. I don't want to take the risk to find out how dirty they'll get and whether or not they'll clean up easily with some soap and water. But I do love this style so I bought a similar style in a dark purple (the ones with the thick, chunky red elastic ties), which I think will hold up in the urban environment I live in. Snow is so pretty and clean when it first falls, but in the city, the streets and sidewalks easily become messy puddles and slush. I may intentionally wear these more on dry days, too. (I posted photos of both pairs below. They were the right side up on my phone and on my computer, not sure why they rotated here.)

I apologize in advance for anyone who may like those but boy were they ugly on my feet! They are huge and literally made my feet look like they had footballs on them. Sorry Sorel but you failed with that style.

I wanted to love these but I had to return them for 3 reasons. 1) Limited arch support and structure generally. 2) Not as attractive on the foot as it looks in the photos. 3) Not sure if the material will wear well in the salty slush or if it will stain.

This shoe should be considered a post-modern sneaker. It's avant-garde style, very European and it's basically walking on fluffy clouds. Light, snuggly and warm, this is an edgy look. LOVE THEM!!!

First things first: yes, they make your feet look like puffy marshmallows. But! I don't care because I have a) grumpy feet and b) Reynaud's syndrome so I was looking for shoes that were both comfortable and warm in cold temperatures. These boots check both those boxes fantastically. And look, if we could all get on board with Uggs once we put them on our feet, how are these any uglier?

This is an awesome boot! I can wear this casual boot without socks and still be warm if outdoors in Wisconsin! love it - reminds me of dancer warm up booties. Down meets sneaker meets slipper. Perfect!

The prior reviews are correct. Even though these shoes are warm and comfy, they are UGLY. My 15 year old daughter said that it looked like someone had cut up a parka and wrapped it around my feet! LOL

These shoes had just about everything I wanted in winter footwear--except the fit. My feet are wide, so I thought that ordering up to a 9 (I usually wear an 8) might work. But it didn't. And they weren't that long on my foot, either. *Sigh.* Back they go.

This is a great “concept “ shoe”. It looks awful on the foot, accentuating bulk, size and even an odd shape. It was comfortable, but the fabric leaves you pondering what happens with any moisture or dirt as it looks like it won’t stand up to any weather. At. All. I wanted it to work. I read other reviews essentially saying similar things- but wanted it to be different for me. It wasn’t. They’ll figure out how to fix stitching/ silhouette & fabric & it will rock. Until then. Take a hall pass.

So ugly. As soon as I opened the box I knew they'd be going back. Put them on and while they were comfy and warm, I just couldn't handle how big they looked.

I purchased these for my trip to northern Montana for the holidays. Love love them. I usually get a size 8 in enclosed shoes but I exchanged the 8 for a 7.5 and glad I did. They are so warm I only wore tennis socks with them. I sloshed around Montana feeling warm, dry, comfortable and stylish. I live in north GA and it has been cold and damp so these are the shoes kept by the door to wear every day. Worth the money, don't pass this up if you need a good short boot.

They were cute, and someone else mentioned that they looked like footballs on their feet, in a way they did. The only problem I felt, was not enough arch support, so unfortunately I needed to return them.

I think they're a nice boot. It was a half size smaller than I usually wear but think they are super comfortable. Having a high arch it's nice that the top strap is adjustable.. They're very comfortable and warm. Definitely puffy looking but I like them and so did my husband. Excited to have a comfy shoe to put on this winter.

Fit and size were spot on. These shoes honestly feel like you are walking on clouds! They are a bit bulky(puffy), as others have mentioned, but that is the style! They are easy to slip on and off, and I have already gotten a ton of compliments on them! My only issue with these shoes is that they aren’t really black. They almost look like a dark navy. But the Velcro is very black, so they still match my black coat. Overall, very satisfied with my purchase!

The good, the bad and the UGLY. The good is that these feel like pillows on your feet. The bad is that these literally look like pillows strapped to your feet. The UGLY is, well, they are hideous. No two ways about it. Makes Napoleon Dynamite's boots look positively sleek and chic. That being said, they feel sooo snugly. I got them to slip in and out of to and from yoga class in winter so I'm not really looking to make a fashion statement and if these look "OK" with anything it is going to be with athletic leggings. Run true to size.
