At first this wasn't my go to jacket but being in Idaho in February this instantly became "the one". It's so surprising how thin it is and how warm it keeps me. i did size up thinking I'd need more room for my under layers but I don't think it's necessary. It's like wearing a sleeping bag! I love this jacket so much.

This one one of the rare winter coat in longer length with synthetic insulation, and I ordered this and Echo featherless jacket at the same time. Navy color was nice, although I didn't care too much for the shine. I ordered my usual M size, sleeves are long (I'm petite so this was expected), but overall fit was fine. I could wear a sweater under this. Someone already mentioned this, but the design from waist down is meant to accentuate the waist, but it may only work well with hourglass figure? On me, it didn't work because the flare is lifted in an awkward way on quilted fabric. The coat is well-made, with zippered pickets and good length.

While the quality and look were trademark Marmot, my wife didn't like the fit of the jacket. The hips were exaggerated and flared out too much for her liking. The chest and arm fit were fine as a small.

Like the length of the coat. The sheen is a little bold for me, as I prefer a more flat color. The first time zipping the coat was difficult because the double zipper had difficulty catching allowing the upper zipper to only zip. I had to have my husband help with the zipper and he was able to get it to catch. I have not worn the coat a second time but I am hopeful the zipper works better.

Great fit and length! Since there's no inside lining, is it meant to fold into a pouch?

Seems like it would be a warm jacket, but the bell shape was just a weird fit. It's fitted when it's zipped but when you leave the jacket opened, the sides stick out and looks strange. I returned it.

I normally wear a S or XS in Marmot, and I typically love their products for warmth and quality. I ordered a small in this so I'd be sure to have room to wear a sweater underneath in the winter. It is HUGE: I can hold out the coat about a foot from my body at the waist, and it flares sideways way below the hips like a bell, so I don't think it would be very warm because it would let so much air in. I have an athletic/slim build and I'm 5'6" and 130 lbs, so this size should have been right on. The product description photos show the coat falling relatively straight down, but this is misleading. I'm returning and buying a different brand. Photos attached show coat with my OLD size small (different brand) coat and a pair of size 6 jeans overlaid, for reference. The coat insulation does seem like it would be warm on the top at least, if the rest fit you!

Unfortunately this coat has MAJOR zipper problems which may explain why it was on closeout. I can never zip it. The zipper just gets stuck. Returned.

Runs on the small size, I would order a size up. I had to return because of the size but the jacket itself appeared to be great quality

Just looked like I should be strolling through a mall, not a campsite in this thing. Way overproduced, shiny, and ritzy, not in a good way. You sort of go 'whoa!' when you put it on. Way too much of a fashion jacket, not a gear-person jacket. Returned it.

It's a very nice coat but not for me. It flares down from waist to hips.

this is not a regular size but on a high women

I bought the same coat years ago and love it but it's getting worn. Bought this coat but the silloutte is terrible. Made me feel like an oompha loompa. Sadly had to return.
