These are very comfortable right out of the box. I haven't worn them outside the house yet, but I have worn them inside for a couple of days and they are very comfortable. I am generally between a 9 and 9.5 in closed shoes, and I ordered the 9.5, but if I had more time before my trip, I might try the 9. I'm still keeping them because they are pretty comfortable. My foot is wider in the front, but my heel is narrow, so the bungee closure works well for me. If you have a very narrow foot, I don't know if this would be the right shoe for you. The styling is nicer than the waterproof On Clouds, which were also very comfortable and light (but I didn't love all of the reflective parts).

I've searched for shoes for months for a trip to Rome/Florence/Venice in December. I knew I wanted something for rainy weather and I knew I needed something comfortable. After tons of reading and comparing I decided to give these a try and I am SO glad I did! Right out of the box they are comfortable with plenty of room in the toe box which is usually an issue for me. Both of my big toe and little toe seem to usually get smashed in a traditional shoe however in the supercross I do not have that issue. I read another review on Salomons website that a reviewer said walking on sidewalks in these shoes felt like walking on cleats due to the size of the lugs but after my 2-mile walk on the sidewalk today I can tell you I did not feel the lugs. My feet were comfortable the entire walk, and this is straight out of the box, no break-in, first walk. I will update my review after my trip but I anticipate great things!

I’ve been wearing these all week during a trip to the UK. They are extremely comfortable even after all day walking. They keep my feet dry but are not too hot.

Got these for a winter trip to Europe. They are roomy - probably not best for narrow feet. Comfortable right out of the box. I love that they are solid black, no silly extra colors just because they are women's shoes.

This shoe runs big!!! The shoe is from France so it's EU sizing. I'm normally an 8.5 but the box said the EU size was 40.5! I had to return for a 7.5 = 39 but they have none left. I gave it 4 stars because Zappos did not get the sizing right in its description.

Beautiful shoe but not made for my foot. I had to return them. Roadrunnersports.com had this shoe classified as a "stability" shoe. There is little to no arch support. I am sure they are the perfect pair of shoes for a different pair of feet. They look well made. I found Asics shoes that fit me great and area also made with Goretex for water resistence; when I need trail running shoes I strap on my YakTraks.

Very comfortable right away with no break in period. The heel is a bit wide for me, but if I tighten the laces all the way it helps. I have narrow heels, so this may not be a problem for others. Feels as though I could have gone down half a size and it would be more snug but works well with thicker socks. I can't really speak to the water resistant part, or the trail part, as I haven't tested it out in those conditions yet. I like the shoe lace system, but they are rather thin, so I'm hoping they hold up with use.

This is the most comfortable sneaker/running shoe I've ever worn. I am a solid size nine in other brands, however in this shoe the 8.5 fits me perfectly.

I always wanted a pair of all black sneakers. Got these for a winter trip to Europe. Great grip. Waterproof. Easy to put on. Ended up using my Superfeet insoles to make them even more comfortable. True to size.

Love these shoes! Used to have Keen but they always felt heavy. These are light and seem sturdy (have had them just for a week). No break in needed, wore right out of the box. Excellent tread as I live and work in snowy area. I got them in black so I could wear them at work too on rainy, snowy days! Love the pinch of red triangle. Very happy with this purchase!
