This jacket was a disappointment in that the color, style and fit are a throwback to an earlier, frumpy time. The dropped shoulders produce a "hospital johnny" effect that can certainly be achieved for considerably less money; the same is true of the disproportionately long sleeves. The construction was well thought-out and executed (zip up and down, accessible pockets inside and out, stadium-jacket length, etc.) but that can't compensate for the overall lack of appeal. If you're looking for an attractive AND utilitarian winter jacket, there are many better (and, it should be said, cheaper) options.

This jackets is perfect for who don't like those thick and heavy jackets like me, I absolutely love it....I bought a Patagonia jacket 2 weeks ago, similar to the thermoball eco long but the North face one is the winner and has just a little bit more isolation enough to keep you warm...I love it...

Really like this jacket, the arms scrunch up a bit oddly where your shoulders are for me even though the rest of the fit is great. Still would recommend!

I use this as my exercise/hiking jacket. Keeps me warm without me feeling overheated when I'm active. Also, it has a loose enough fit that you can wear layers if needed. I got this in the red color. It is more of a Burgundy than what is in the picture, but I like this better.

I was so pleased to find a hoodles NF jacket. I bought this jacket in blk and blue. I use for work (business casual) and weekend casual. The thermoball is lightweight but still warm. Extremely pleased. Only con and this is with long jackets in general is the zipper always takes a couple of trys to hook together. I would have been happy with buttons.. lol.. :)

Fits well, looks just like the picture on the website. It seems like it'll keep me warm enough in Arizona winters.

I've been looking for a jacket that keeps me warm, but has a fresh look for spring. This was the perfect solution! It's warm, but not heavy, and has delightful pockets that hold all my dog walking supplies. Highly recommend!

This is a perfect jacket for a cold weather that requires a more stylish coat without loose thermal confort. I bought this jacket to go to work (I am a lawyer) and it is warm enough for a cold day in new england, stylish enough without been too sporty and lightweight to carry on my carey on bag. I love the reddish color. It is very modern and the colar gives a elegant look.

I have been waiting for this kind of Simi long, light color and light weight jacket and this is the one for me.

I love my husband's Thermoball jacket and wanted one for myself. I liked this style as I prefer a longer jacket to wear with leggings. I used the fit estimator which suggested a large based on my height, weight, and age and that I preferred a looser rather than a tighter fit. The large was too big, so I think the jacket runs true to size. I have re-ordered in a medium and can't wait for it to arrive! The blue is a great color, a nice change from black.

This jacket is perfect for women who wear longer tops. Love it.

I love North Face but am challenged by narrow, too tight fit on most jackets. This one is an exception. The fit is comfortable without being too big. Very stylish and great color too really love the lightweight yet warm construction.

My wife chose this jacket as a Christmas Gift Wish and she loves it. She loves the color and length. I told her how much I like my Thermoball jacket and she's happy with her selection. It's lightweight but cold weather efficiency is tremendous especially with the fact that we can walk in from the cold and keep the jacket on because of it's breathability. We stay comfortable unlike other jackets we have where we have to take them off. This is a real convenience for us. Very happy with our North Face products.

Great travel coat, can be folded into a ziploc bag. Also layering of weather changes.

This is a great every day casual coat in this mid winter temperature season, When there is no need for sub zero coats and boots!

Great daily coat to wear in fall and early-winter temps. Length is good to cover longer sweaters. Nice double-access front pockets. I'm really happy with this purchase.
