While the shoe fits me great as a 9 1/2, I say a half size too small because I'm less than a true size 9, and usually force to size up, finding stated shoe sizes for all makers inconsistent. Width wise, the shoes have a notable high volume and are plenty wide to me for being labeled as medium width, while fitting my average width feet even after substituting my own insoles and using thicker cold weather socks. If you have narrow feet and heels, you might look elsewhere. I don't plan to use the shoes on trails but they've been comfortable so far wearing around town.
