These shoes are glorious. They are bedazzling to look at and know they are on my feet. I feel like I'm wearing a piece of art- not Picasso because my feet are in tact, where they should be; more so like Klimt with beautiful light and The Kiss. The craftsmanship is stunning. Although I may sacrifice a little in comfort, it's nothing that won't fix itself with a little more wear. If you wear wide size in dress shoes then these may not be for you. They are a true medium and should have a proper fit and not excessive wiggle room due to the type of shoe. I can wear a thin hosiery type sock and nothing more with these. Comfort-wise, as one reviewer mentioned, they have a hard sole. This is true, so I would not wear them all day just yet. They are perfect for work or a night out at the library. I think they will break in remarkably well. Although you may not put a whole new comfort insole in, I'm sure you could get away with a metatarsal pad or heel pad if needed. The minor issues were not enough for me to return these. The heart wants what the heart wants.

(UPDATE) I had originally ordered this in a size 39 (9), but realized that they were indeed a tad narrow. I wasn't worried about ordering a size up (40) because all 3 buckles are adjustable. The fit was much better. The craftsmanship of these shoes is splendid.

These are so beautiful. I really wanted them to work. The foot bed is like walking on concrete. I thought because of the platform that it would have some cushioning, especially at this price point. I am going to check out others that are similar. The craftsmanship is really wonderful. I am sad.
