This are very affordable shoes with a nice grip to the ice ground. Not as comfortable as my other Merrels but with I paid the half for it. The design is really nice.

I use this for hiking, rain, and snow. They could be a bit more comfortable.

Primarily for hiking and casual wear - not the best in colder temps because they breathe.

I bought this shoe 2 years ago for Biking but ending up wearing them as an everyday shoe. They held up very well until small holes wore in the bends and the sole on the ball area wore to the point of separating. I bought a second pair because I them so much

Wearing these simply for rainy days when I'd otherwise be wearing sneakers. So far so good after first rain day. Only thing preventing 5 star initial review is that they are sized 1/2 size to small. I wear size 11 in 99% of the shoes I buy, but 11's in these were too tight all around so I had to return for 11.5.

The colour stains easy, the fit was a little tight for a 12. Love the colour and style. The toe area wore out fast and lost its tan colour. slowly turning black

I purchased these primarily for Disc Golfing on courses with obstacles often encountered on a typical hike through woods, mountains and along rivers. One laced up properly (which is tedious sometimes due to a slight excess in heel room even with thick socks), they are very comfortable and they have performed well. They appear to be durable so far. They also look great for casual use with my jeans and joggers.
On a side note, although I love this Mojave Desert colorway, this boot, along with the majority of boots in this market, need more colorway options for men. Women's boots often look more interesting and have more colorway options than the men's alternative.

I have not had the boots long enough to say how durable they are. However, so far they are very comfortable and well suited to use on uneven terrain. Can wear them for long hikes without any discomfort.

Seems like a very lightweight and solid shoe but the laces come out of the tops eyelets all the time and the tread is too shallow for hiking. They are also not that warm for cold weather. They seem geared more towards every day use and where as opposed to trail hiking in the snow.

Runs very small. I'm a size 9.5 and I feel like at 10.5 would be more comfortable. In addition, it is very hard to break in and is very uncomfortable after 20 mins. I'm face, both my ankles begin to ache after 30 mins. Would not recommend

Overall it's a decent boot. It's waterproof which is a plus. Only reason I returned them is how theboots squeeze your feet and the stiff sole making them uuncomfortable to wear.

I wear a size 13 and have so for many years. This shoe was tight and narrow, I would not be able to comfortably fit a hiking sock on with this boot and not have my toes smashed. I also do not have a wide foot and never wear wide shoes but for whatever reason, this boot felt narrow. I loved the look, I bought them for the reviews and the looks but this boot was not for me.

Not waterproof, the front tow area wore out fast and colour came off. They would be great if they were actually waterproof and needs another lawyer of paint of colour on the toe cap.

I have bought this item 3 times for my dad. Not because he loved the shoes but because I kept having to go up a full size. My dad normally wears a 10 10 1/2 but with these shoes I had to go up to a 12 1/2.

So I bought these boots because they looked REALLY nice (IMO) and the website had a GORE-TEX badge and the TNF rep told me they were GORE-TEX and I needed a good light waterproof hiking boot for my Iceland trip.
I ordered them and got them in quick, put them on my feet and they were very comfortable and really stylish, however like all shoes they need breaking in.
I'm currently ON my 2 week Iceland trip RIGHT NOW and they held up TREMENDOUSLY for the first 6 days, I've put these boots to the test! Pouring rains, boulder climbing, mud puts, puddles, and much more. They handled it all like a beast! Kept my feet nice dry and toasty!
We hit the 7th day of our trip however, and casually walking through a puddle they should have no problem with, I felt moisture creeping in on the sides of BOTH of my boots! And sure enough, a little water is starting to leak in through the sides of the boots.
A very unfortunate thing I'm frustrated with right now because we still have a week here left and I only have these boots to wear.
Once I get home these boots are going right back to TNF and I'm getting my money back.
I feel like they would be great boots for normal every day waterproof action, but as for people who are needing a hardcore waterproof boots that can withstand extremes, such as Icelandic adventuring and climates, I would look elsewhere and find a REAL GORE-TEX show instead of this crummy "Hydroseal" system.
Close to being Iceland ready, but not there unfortunately.

The toe box on these feel like I'm in ladies high heels. I bought the same size as 3+ other TNF that I have and these are way smaller.

We purchased these shoes for my husband and he wore them for a little over a month maybe two months and the soul of the shoes busted out on him. It just sucks because we are on a tight budget and spent a little extra for him to just have to turn around and buy him a new pair after contacting north face and not getting a response

I had these boots for almost 10 + months. I put these boots through the ringer. These boots get a solid 5/10.
-The front upper soles wear down faster than any Merrell I owned.
-These boots ARE NOT WATERPROOF.
I do not recommend these shoes - they look good, but that's about it.

This shoe appears.to be defective. No arch support, foot rolls inward standing. Worse boot by Northface I have ever tried. Not sure it would hold up outdoors. Disappointed Returning immediately!
