Overall I really like this shoe. They're nice looking but still comfortable and have a nice amount of arch support compared to most sandals, which I appreciate because I have a very high arch. And I love that the foot bedding is cork! That's a big win for me. I had ordered it in a 39 because that's what I wear in Birkenstocks, which fit just a tad small, however the Birk 40 is huge. The 39 in this was definitely smaller compared to the Birk so I had to go up to 40, which fits better. I will say that foot placement seems a tad off. My toes go right to the edge but then there's more space in the back than what there "should" be based on the fact that my toes hit the end. Could just be my foot. Not a deal breaker and I don't think anyone would really even notice. I also have a fairly narrow foot and these just fit, so someone with a wider foot would want to consider this. I'm all about comfort but also wanted something I could dress up and these are pretty much perfect for both, which we all know is hard to find.

I would have loved these except the arch support was too close to the heel. I loved the look and the cork insole, but I couldn't wear them comfortably with the arch in the wrong place for my foot. Zappos was fabulous as always- quick shipping and excellent returns!

For those of us with narrow feet, finding shoes is trial and error. The footbed of these Aetrex Emilia sandals is long enough for my feet, as was the Jade sandal. However the straps are way too loose, allowing my foot to slide forward. Also the post or strap between the toes is too far forward to hold my feet in place. Then the arch support is not in the right place and there is a gap between the insole and my high arch. The shoes are beautifully made, and I have other Aetrex shoes that fit, just not these. Sorry, they have to go back, and I once again thank Zappos for their variety of shoes and excellent return policy.

This is a beautiful sandal and the cork footbed with arch support is especially nice. I ordered the rose; to me it is more of a pink gold. Very pretty but my light skin color doesn't do these justice. I've ordered the pewter to replace.

Love this sandal! It’s ever cuter in person! This brand has great arch support - I would say very similar to Vionic - but I love the cork insole and much prefer it over other brand’s suede options.... soft yet supportive and looks natural. The leather uppers are already soft and the gold color is neutr and pretty - a bit more towards the “champagne” end of the spectrum rather than a really yellow gold. I will be getting more shoes from Aetrex for sure!

Have a couple of Aetrex sandals. The cork footbed is very uncomfortable and not as cushy as leather insoles

This became my favorite sandal. I will be ordering again in more colors.

I am very surprised with the fit of these. I always struggle finding a sandal that looks feminine and classy but has decent support -- this fits both requirements. The velcro adjustment in the back is nice since my foot tends to run a little narrow. Sometimes the ring hits my ankle, but I've worn them all day walking and my feet felt great afterward!

Fit perfectly right out of the box. Love the style and it's very flattering to the foot. love the color, Pewter, as it goes with many outfits.

Have the 38 in this sandal...in pewter color...Love the style: can be worn with a wide range of styles. The color can be worn when other colors won't work..so it's versatile. Comfort from the moment I put it on....and my feet are very hard to please. My second sandal from Aetres...both tremendously comfortable...... is the Harper, which I have in three colors. Odd that this style is in one sizing and the Harper is a size 8. Another thing is that the front of my foot does not pull off to the side of the shoe, which I usually have a problem with in a style like this...

These fit perfectly, and provide a really nicely shaped cork platform. I didn't think the leather strap between the toes was comfortable, but suspect it might get better with wear. These shoes are really attractive, but I decided they weren't for me.

The fit and support on these is really nice. I was looking for an understated, neutral shoe to slip on over the summer. These fit the bill, they offer me the support I need without looking too clunky.

These are the most comfortable non-sneakers I have. The arch support is amazing, especially for a sandal. Great support for my arches and back; I can walk forever in these.

I love these sandals! I wore them for an 18 day trip to Europe and they were super comfortable, had great support and were stylish. The bottoms are like a tennis shoe and worked terrific for the rocky roads and hill walking. I have the gold color and they were cute with both day and evening outfits.

The sandal is cute and comfortable. Great if you have high arches and need support. The only criticism of this sandal is that if you have a skinny foot, the leather piece on the top of the foot stands up slightly off the foot. If your foot is thicker, then it will work better for you.

Very good - toes and heels not hanging over the edge, and the toe post and ankle strap held the sandal on securely. I wore this for miles of walking around heat-stricken Italy this June and it performed perfectly. Maybe not an all-day/every-day tourist shoe because the support is still pretty minimal, but a wonderful break from boots/sneakers for a few hours each day, and stylish enough to wear out to dinner. Extremely happy with this purchase.

These sandals required no breaking in from the first day I wore them. I will be buying them in different colors because the comfort and fit is so good!

I normally wear a 6.5 and my foot tends to run a little on the narrow side. I ended up returning the 6/6.5 and ordering the 7, which fit me perfectly. (I had been afraid it'd be too big, but it wasn't...nor was it too wide! These are some of the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn! So cute too!

Truth: I haven't worn them yet. But I was thrilled to discover the comfort and support when I tried them on and wore them around my home for an hour or two. I am super picky, needing excellent arch support and nothing on the sides to cause friction/blisters when walking miles in hot weather. (as in Europe) I will update as I wear them longer.

These are so cute. I haven't worn them yet, it's still too cold outside but I did try them with different outfits and they look good with jeans, shorts, and dresses. I normally take a 7-1/2 and the 8 fit great. I also got a 7 but the toe thong was too tight and made the nerves in my foot tingle so I kept the 8. I can't wait to wear these out.

These are stiff and will need a little breaking in but, overall, they are very nice and fit well--just a little wider than expected, but no big deal since they are sandals.

Everything about this shoe worked for me--EXCEPT it squeaked like crazy! I had the tortoise-shell ones and the plastic against both itself and the metal rings just meant squeakville with every step! Especially annoying since I work in a library! But I'm going to try another colour because the arch support was phenomenal for me. Others have said it didn't hit them right, but I wear a 9M and it was perfect. I bought the 40. I'm so bummed to have to return them. Pray that the next pair doesn't squeak!
