Yet another terrific product that a big corporation has ruined. I own several pairs of Chaco's flip flops from ten years ago, and they are the best things ever. Alas, ever since Chaco's was bought out, quality and fit has gotten worse and worse. Every couple years, I order a pair of flip flops in hopes that Chaco's has returned to its roots, and every time I have to send the shoes back. This latest iteration is the worst ever -- straps that are way to loose, almost no arch support (the thing that used to distinguish these shoes) and super hard soles. I can walk five miles in my old pairs; I would not be able to go 100 feet in these. Incidentally, I tried both a size 5 and a size 6, and both were too loose and had no support.

I totally agree with the reviewer stating how downhill Chaco has gone! I was an avid Chaco-wearer 20 years ago and have been so disappointed to see the arch support diminishing!.... a LOT ....The ONE thing (or, at least, 1 of the biggest things!) Chaco is known for! Also, their women's medium width has narrowed considerably and should be labeled "NARROW" width! C-width used to be their "medium" width, nowadays, it's gone down to a B-width. I, too, keep trying them year after year, hoping that they will be better-fitting and more comfortable ...the way they USED to be a few years (a decade) ago. I wind up disappointed over and over again. I think I'm finally giving up and moving on to other brands.

Should have listened to others. If you are used to wearing Chacos - sadly, these are NOT the same!

There are two reasons I have been a loyal Chaco customer for many years. 1) Quick drying sandals. This sandal lives up to this. 2) A good supportive sole that lets you walk a long way without your feet hurting if needed. Sadly, these do not live up to this part. Chaco used to have soles that were certified by the American Podiatric Society, now I don’t see that certification and sadly, my brand loyalty is probably leaving with this change. I hope they bring this back.

Unlike several of the other reviewers, this is was my first pair of Chacos so I can't compare these to any previous pairs. I can say that I love them as-is, though! I waited a year to write this review-- I live in sunny southern California, so I've worn these almost every day since last August, and they are my favorite pair of sandals. They are comfortable, they provide a bit of support, and my feet are happy walking miles in these shoes. I'm actually buying a second pair (that's how I thought to leave a review so long after purchase) right now-- I'm moving abroad and absolutely want a backup pair! I just can't risk warm weather without them. :)

These are my fourth or fifth pair of these shoes and Chaco is just the best! Buy a pair today!
